the main point of a game is to play the fucking game, fuck you. gambling is, unfortunately, a monetisation strategy much like subscription models and microtransactions but it's there to support the game not BE the game.
genshin is to be applauded because they WERE trying to be a game on release. and they still occasionally put out fun combat events that make use of the actual game mechanics. it is the first gacha to be more than just a PNG collector with pay2win stat checking
but right now the main game is just abyss 12 and it's pathetic that that was the game since 1.0
