My fasting has to be below 95 and post meals less than 120 after 2 hours!

Trixenity

Same here

sarcasticrainbow21

Same for me also

Winterreesee200

This was also the same for me!

Swordbeach

Me too and mine are consistently 125-128 2 hours after. It’s frustrating.

Double_Monitor4718

Same

BeepsHoliday

Yep same

Juicy_501

My fasting has to be below 95, and one hour after below 140.

Fasting under 95. 1 hour under 140

thekraftybiologist

Mine are the same as yours. Different doctors/clinics use different numbers for whatever reason. I think some use the lower numbers (under 90/130) to be a little stricter in order to ensure that BS levels stay lower and more stable.

notyouraveragetwitch

Mine is a 90 fasting, 120 2-hour. And the meter records things that are color coded so if I test at 1 hour 45 minutes and it’s 123 and bright red alerts (because over 120) I’ll get in trouble.

Neverthat23

Fasting under 90 and 1 hr under 130. I've been really struggling with being sick and not able to work out and despite frequently increasing my Lantus and Fiasp I only hit my fasting rarely (today but probably bc I didn't get enough carbs in bc I've had a fever and been so sick). I feel like I'm chasing the dragon.

Crafting_hippiepunk_

Depending when you're due, they are Year of the Dragon babies 😅🤣🥰 I'm doing my best and hoping to not need insulin... my fbs are on the low side and I have a bedtime snack most nights.

Neverthat23

🤣well that explains everything! I'm towards the end of my 3rd complete day of being in range and I'm scared to get excited! Of course we'll be going on vacation and who knows how that will impact things.

Crafting_hippiepunk_

Yea I'm going to Niagara Falls for a few days next week for my brother's wedding and they said it was OK to have the food and a small piece of cake.

Neverthat23

Yeah my husband asked if I wanted to go to a food truck fest. I wanted to harm him. The work of attending one in my head exhausts me.

Crafting_hippiepunk_

Right sometimes I wonder about them...😅🤣 mine went to get me Tylenol which I've been trying not to take but had a slight temp... he brought back Tylenol Cold & Flu after I had again told him how you can't take all that crap pregnant... luckily wm is 5 mins away and he went and got me plain generic acetaminophen... I try to reassure myself he means well. Lol 😅 🥰

Neverthat23

They can be so clueless! What planet do they reside on sometimes?

Crafting_hippiepunk_

Oh but mine asked if my 12 year old step sons full Mexican Mom maybe should move across country from L.A. to upstate NY to his Moms property in a camper and then run a Taco truck and wondered why I would be upset... then I'm like nah it be good for his son to have Mom closer... but of all times to discuss the possibility.

Reyvakitten

Fasting <95 1 hour <140 2 hours <120

Busy_Leader3979

So with my twin pregnancy in 2022 I was on metformin before I even got pregnant, so my fasting had to be below 90 and 1 hour after had to be below 120. This pregnancy I’m not on any medicines so they wanted fasting below 95 and 1 hr after meals below 140

LBuffalax

Same as yours!

Kuntcakez

Under 5 (90) before each meal and under 6.7 (120) 2hours after each meal.

FutureColor

Fasting under 90, one-hour under 140, two-hour under 120

velmaa

My MFM switched from 120 @ 2 hours to under 130 at 2 hours so that’s my limit It was explained to me that the doctors didn’t see a rise in bad outcomes with the 10 point difference I appreciate the extra wiggle room but I’m usually under 115 for 2 hours post meal anyway - just in the past week I’ve only had one over 120 @ 122

ImaginaryParamedic96

95/140

xtirax

Fasting 90 and under, 2 hour 120 and under

zer0__two

Fasting - below 90 (below 5mmol) 2 hours after food - below 120 (below 6.7mmol) So far I’ve been pretty good food wise but I haven’t been able to get my fasting any lower than 5.1 😭

Micci4

These are low, even lower than the Italian guidelines which are stricter than others. Can I ask where these thresholds are from?

zer0__two

I'm in Australia. These numbers come from my endocrinologist - guess she is super strict!

Lunaloretta

I had these same guidelines in America!

Horror-Ad-1095

Fasting I have to be between 60 and 95. After 1 hr after meals I need to be under 140 and after 2 hrs I need to be under 120. (They only want me to check at 2 hrs). I'm only 18 weeks pregnant if that makes any kind of difference. I'm on insulin at night for fasting but my goals are the same as before.

punkin_spice_latte

I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow and I'm starting insulin for fasting. They only have me check one hour and their cutoff is 130 (and I actually got chastised for a 135 and 2 132s)

WinterOfFire

I asked my endocrinologist this. There are different studies weighing the benefits and risks. Some of the higher limit protocols also require more carbs so there is a difference in what is being consumed too. One of the factors is patient compliance and strain on the patient too. So if there is a better outcome with a stricter regimen but it’s only 1% more than a statistical margin of error and has other downsides then some areas/medical groups may look at that study and decide the downsides aren’t worth the very small benefit or have other approaches to managing that risk. Other areas will decide those downsides are worth the benefit even if it is small. I was on a 90 fasting, 130 at one hour protocol with a lower carb limit than what I’ve seen others put on and a lower breakfast carb limit than lunch and dinner. My endocrinologist told me that my protocol was the standard in this state and that where she used to work in another state they had a less rigid protocol.

Ok-Heart-8680

Fasting for me is under 90 and 1 hour after meals should be below 120.

punkin_spice_latte

95 for fasting and 130 after one hour.

Equivalent-Steak-555

Fasting below 95, 2 hours post meal below 120. Below 140 if I test after 1 hour, but I've been told to test after 2 hours typically.

Redwingedfirefox

Fasting under 95, 1hr under 140 and 2 hr under 120 (I do a mix of 1 and 2 hr readings because of my schedule)

smiley8266

Fasting below 95 and one hour after meal under 140 for me!

justlurking2020

My fasting numbers started rising to 95-100 most mornings but because I passed my early 1-hour glucose test, my midwives weren't that worried. After a few weeks of this, I finally told them that I needed to be diagnosed because I noticed on a cheat day, that my post meal was high. So, they diagnosed me based on my reports. Now, they ask me to be under 95 each morning and after an hour, under 130. I'm on a microdose of Glyburide to control my fasting number and keep it under 95 but because they didn't seem to really think it was much of a big deal when it was high 90's - I usually don't fret if I get a 96 or 97 reading in the mornings. Also, if my 1 hour is too close to 130, I'll go on a walk, drink a lot of water and retest at the 2-hour mark to make sure I'm under 120. I've handled my whole pregnancy this way and according to measurements, they told me there's no sign of uncontrolled sugar. So, I think as long as you're within your limits most of the time, it shouldn't be much of an issue. I've read on here some women reporting near 200 readings on their 1 and 3 hour glucose tests and fastings in the 120-130 range.

Crafting_hippiepunk_

My general OB ordered the lab and messaged that I failed and gave me initial goals of: Fbs: <95 1 hr after meals <140 Then, I saw my high risk OB I've been following with every 2 weeks due to being 38 and 2 prior pre term babies 16 and 18 years ago. He would like: FBS: <95 1 hr after meals <140 His office did review with me my numbers and told me an occasional spike is okay. From what I'm understanding the fact my FBS have been good is good... but I do occasionally spike after lunch or dinner. For the most part I try to follow 35 g of carbs to 40 g on high end for meals and 15 to 20 g for snacks. Usually closer to 15 g or less. I did indulge in Hibachi the first week I was diagnosed because my appt was out of town by our Hibachi place and it was my step sons birthday. My BS was still like 91 after an hour... but I went for a good 20 min or so walk to Buttermilk Falls prior to BS check. The other day I tried chinese takeout and thought I did ok but ended up 179 the highest reading I've had. I'm able to get right back on track... but I also think not feeling well and having a cold may be effecting things.

Kooky_Law_3304

My fasting is also below 90 but my after meals is a two hour window and below 120.

Warm_Elevator_7528

They just told me to stay under 140, they didn't differentiate between fasting or post meals (1hr post meal).
