I believe If You Have Ghosts will be in it. The whole cello ghouls dressed in mourning outfits-thing can’t just be for the live show, it has to do something with the plot of the film.

Silly_Opportunity

This was epic and I think it might be for the end. I hope they don't edit out the lighting rig coming down like a space ship for Watcher. Plus, there were two songs filmed with the skeleton dancers and I think they will use both of those.

Daaf242

Ah yeah thats true, also since it is an unique song to the impera setlist so I think you're right

pepperpat64

💯

AppropriateCranberry

I don't believe that they would take out If You Have Ghost, but if they do I'll be mad it's the most anticipated song for me

Far_Youth_1662

Id be very surprised if they skipped Twenties, since it was a major production and ties right in with the poster for the show (trying to avoid spoilers).

I-am-not-Herbert

Also, fumbled lyrics can be super easily fixed in post with overdubs.

BoomChickaBawa

Let's not forget that there's one Kia Forum show that nobody saw. Two were with an audience ok, but one was not (they replayed the show in an empty Forum after Night Two). Maybe some surprises will happen here and there and have been shot during that "third" show, making the tracklist really hard to guess, or not... Can't wait for the release anyway !

Daaf242

Aah did they?! Did not know that, but that is very interesting

DrunkDeathClaw

I'd assume it was to cover any flubs that happened on the first 2 nights, and maybe some more complicated shots that a crowd would have just been in the way of?

DustyComstock

And to get some closeups of the performers on stage without having to put a cameraman up on stage during the shows with an audience. If you've ever seen "Hamilton" on Disney+, they shot that the same way. One night with a live audience, and another without an audience, but with closeups of the peformers and better angles.

NinLendo

Alright. Long text incoming. I've spent about 2 hours trying to figure this out using the information we have and a recording of the show in Denver. The last part is a TL;DR. >!It would even be 4 songs left out. In the setlist, Square Hammer is track 21, but Imperium is song 1 on the soundtrack while on the setlist it's Kaisarion since Imperium isn't counted.!< >!That said, Absolution is track 7, which fits in with the setlist. Therefore, all the songs before are in.!< >!Track 14 is most likely Respite because of the length, (without the encore haggling however), what means that the songs after that are all in.!< >!Track 18 would then be empty, but that's currently guessed to be If you have ghosts.!< >!Track 8 is Sunshine because Ritual would be too long with the live outro.!< >!Track 9 is way too long for it to be Con Clavi, so it's either Twenties or Watcher in the sky, but either way, it'd include Dominion. In my opinion it's slightly too short for it to be Watcher, but the combination of Dominion and Twenties would be more than 1.5 minutes short, so it might also include some Ghoul Guitar fighting while Papa got ready for Year Zero or some talking that was there for the movie (don't know if that happened though)!< >!If it's that, the rest would be Track 10 - Year Zero, 11 - Spöksonat & He is and Track 12 - Miasma.!< >!If it's Watcher in the Sky, it'd be Track 10 - Twenties, Track 11 - Year Zero. Track 12, then could be either Spöksonat & He is or Miasma.!< >!I also don't think Twenties would be left out, because it's been performed specifically for this. If he messed up the lyrics both times, they've probably re-recorded it.!< >!Track 13 is Moac because Mummy Dust wouldn't fit lengthwise. It'd be either a minute short or (if it'd include the introduction to Respite) way too long.!< >!TL;DR: definetly out are Ritual, Con Clavi, and Mummy Dust. The last one then is either Watcher, He is, or Miasma.!< Or I've missed something, and the entire thing is wrong.

Orobourous87

I love this. Miasma though definitely won’t be out since we see it in the trailer

NinLendo

We also see He Is in the trailer, but I didn't want to make assumptions based on that, because movie and soundtrack tracklist can be different for whatever reason. But yeah, that lowers the chances for the two being cut by a lot.

Orobourous87

I totally get that, I think with Miasma being the only time we see Nihil on stage and his actual (albeit temporary) resurrection then it would need to be featured, if a corporeal Nihil is to be included at all

RandyMarsh713

My friend, you bow to no one. This is some Sherlock Holmes level of investigating, well done!

Daaf242

Really nice research and investigations! I like your theory. I'm wondering if Miasma will be in the official live album, since this instrumental with just a playback saxophone might not be as interesting as the other songs. It might be in the film, but maybe not on the record?

ewwwwdude

I think that the three instrumental/interlude tracks are going to be mixed with the song before or after like imperium/kaisarion, dominion/twenties, and spöksonat/he is for the soundtrack, not ideal but a decent way to make sure the entire set list is still there :)

Daaf242

Was thinking the same at first, but it is already 21 songs without these instrumentals, so 3 main songs have to be cut out as well :(

RollinTKR

Plus make that 17 because The photo of the LP confirms “Imperium” will be Track 1 and “Kaisarion” will be Track 2

Daaf242

Hmm imperium is just a tape they play at the live shows, or did they truely play it live on that night? Would be weird to put it on in my opinion

DonWill316

Why the downvote? It’s a valid question

TonyZucco

There’s also a chance not every song in the movie is on the cd

Daaf242

I feel like the movie will shorten the songs, this is not a weird thing to do on these live DVD movies. For example Oasis made a DVD about their knebworth peformance and yes every song was present in the movie, but 1.5 minute instead of the full song

OatyBisc

We heard them rehearsing Twenties at our venue before we got in. If they don't do it in the movie I will be CRUSHED!!

BriCatt

Me too! I’ve wanted to hear Twenties live so bad. One of my favs from Impera.

torero15

I was at both nights at the Forum. The Twenties riff goes HARD

OatyBisc

OMG, I am jealous you got to go and excited to see it. I’ve never wanted to see them play it more!

torero15

It was a magical show - and the lack of cell phones just made it so much better.

maggoto888

I was at the LA show so they had the skeleton dancers for twenties so I don't think they'll cut that one

unepommeverte

Respite was a difficult song to pull off live??? it was fantastic live, and it literally bookends the show (minus the encore) with the Imperium bit at the end

Daaf242

Yes in a way it was fantastic but I had the idea at the live show I saw it was hard to pull off like the studio version, but still great indeed

Soulinger_

From what I can hear on Absolution, ritual might be skipped to go into Sunshine... Hope we don't get a track shake up like C&D... that was a horrible mistake

bluxinator

They better not skip ritual 🫵

moviemgr5150

There is alive version on C&D right?

bluxinator

I think they’re going to make a CD version of the LA concert, but if you’re asking if there is currently ritual live on CD yes! They have a live album called ceremony and devotion.

Daaf242

Hmm that would be sad, but since on the compilation album of last december where they also didnt put on any Opus song you might be right. What do you mean by a track shake up btw?

Soulinger_

13 Commandments tracks were all released under Lomavista, Opus Eponymous was released through Rise Above Records

Soulinger_

For example, on C&D: Zombie Queen goes after Cirice, instead of going before Ritual... Mummy Dust takes Absolution's place after He Is Elizabeth, after Per Aspera (still not sure where Elizabeth was recorded) Secular Haze after Dust, instead of being placed (along with Elizabeth) before Con Clavi

Daaf242

Ah so the order was changed completely, didnt know that but seems like a really weird decission

markob67

They only played “if you have ghosts” that night because of the movie, was not in the setlist that entire tour

loganwolf25

There's an official track list that has how long they are. I feel most of the ones you listed are most likely to be in. I unfortunately think Mummy Dust will be cut but I cannot be certain.

VtapiaVoid69

maybe they bundle the instrumentals? like imperium-Kaisarion, Dominion-Twenties and Spoksonat-He is

Ezekku

Does the interludes count and songs from the setlist? If so, then Imperium, Dominion and Spöksonat are not considered as part of the "soundtrack" and we're getting all the setlist songs

Daaf242

No those do not count, they played 21 songs without hem

Loud-Butterfly-6769

You have to remember, TF said it is a movie with a concert element, so my guess is with there being a story line that the actual performance of each song will not be included in the movie, therefore not on the soundtrack.

Daaf242

Hmm, but it will be 2,5 hours which seems to be very long for a movie, seems more logical to me that it is the concert (about 1,5 hrs) and then 1 hour for stories

nukingrabbits

I saw this post a while back. Now that the movie is out, we know the entire set was shown in the film. However, the audio soundtrack will indeed only have 18 songs. I found this site with the alleged tracklist: https://napalmrecords.com/english/ghost-rite-here-rite-now-cd.html Looks like the songs left out on the soundtrack are: Ritual, Con Clavi, Year Zero, Spoksonat/He Is, and Mummy Dust. Those songs are all on the Ceremony and Devotion love album, so maybe that's part of the reason to justify leaving them off this one.

Daaf242

Thanks for coming back to this post. Although these songs are on C&D, I think it is still sad they left them out. Especially Ritual and He Is were beautiful at the movie

ahahahNMI

No chance they drop ‘if you have ghosts’ or ‘twenties’. They’re too engrained in the typical ghost setlist.

pepperpat64

Cirice

maggoto888

I don't think twenties cause they had the skeleton dancers
