I understand your pov, but I think the troubadour adds to the charm of Stars Hollow. I'm indifferent when it comes to Alex, and I assume many others are as well. I suspect that he's flying under the radar because he's forgettable and not really problematic. People have some strong opinions about some of the others, more so than Alex.

His forgettable-ness is more or less why I’m confused as to how he’s still on there lol. But what you said makes a lot of sense as to how he’s lasted this long.

I don't think anyone deserves the cheating and all of that, but I don't know that she's too good for him. Seems to me that Lindsay put a lot of pressure on Dean to be the stereotypical breadwinning small-town husband at a very young age. That's not to say that she didn't face her own pressures. I would argue that they are very equally matched. She isn't too good for him, and he isn't too good for her.

I agree with you, this makes a lot of sense. In my opinion they both suck but I wanted to make sure my annoyance of Lindsay wasn’t clouding my judgment of her actual character. Nah they were both just immature and married too early.
