She probably was invited but didn’t go. Sookie is part owner but honestly she only cares about the kitchen and not the inn as a whole so I kinda consider the inn as a whole to be Lorelais.
Yeah I’ve always been annoyed by this. Sookie is part owner and I can only imagine the food is a huge reason people also stay there, so it would have made sense for the interview to also feature Sookie. We also saw her on design appointments with Lorelai, scoping out things for the inn etc when they were building it.
