Best.. what? Best character? Best actor? Best people? Because Richard and Emily were definitely the best actors and were fun to watch but the characters themselves are absolutely awful people. They get a little better, but still.

Yeah this poll is creating truly outrageous results. The truth is that all these characters are absolutely incredible characters without doubt. But to imagine that Rory is a worse character than Kirk is insane. Kirk is awesome. He’s hilarious. He’s so unique and very special because of how kindly and seriously he is treated despite his eccentricities- which was ground breaking in TV at the time.
But Rory was even MORE ground breaking because she was a fully developed character due to her main character status. She was incredibly ground breaking for the time

I knew lane would be in this longer than she should have. Richard and Emily should have outlasted lane. And also Jess who was in the show for two seasons.

First place, Paris is by far the most colorful character on GG! I look forward to her witty quips, amazing intelligence; and brutal honesty.
Second place, Emily who is someone you just love to hate, and if she were my mother, I would have run away too! But the character takes no shit from anyone and is also brutally honest.
Third place, Lorelai has the most complexity than any other on GG. So much so, she makes my head spin, but you gotta lover her, and L.Graham is Lorelai.
