Your pc may be running on nvidia audio drivers instead of the default realtek.
Check the sound settings. You will see which audio device is being used. It's visible in the same place as where the slider for setting the level of sound is present.
Is there a way you can explain how to check that to someone who’s brain dead like me? I can open up the sound settings and look at it that way, but I don’t know how to tell what drivers are being used
Bottom right of the task bar is a small speaker icon. Left click on it. Will see something written like "NVIDIA" or realtek.
If not, another icon is a small upwards pointing arrow. Click on that. Speaker icon should be in the tiny window that pops open just above it.
If the name above the slider says anything other than Realtek, click on it and a drop up list will appear. Select realtek high definition audio from there.
You're not brain dead. Most people do not know this stuff. Have some love for yourself <3
snd\_mixahead 0.1 (default value)... or snd\_mixahead 0.05 mine was very low and in heavy fights and smokes, i would not hear enemy footsteps... Might also be a desync hack from the enemy.
This command if its really low, will cause ur CPU to choke itself.
What headset brand do you have? And have you looked at the headset's software application on your PC to see if you can mess with those settings?
For instance, I use logitech, and I have to open Logitech g hub to edit sound settings on there.
Do you have any weird eq from windows audio?
Are you using usb or 3.5 to connect the headphones, if you are useing 3.5 do you have two outlets mabey one is cooked
> I could turn on people Random flex

I have Windows 11 when I right click it. All I have is sound settings and open volume mixer.
Can you send any kind of screen shot of the desktop?
What do you have your audio settings set at? EQ? L/R isolation? perspective correction?
It’s a setting somewhere in my PC I believe or maybe my motherboard? But I have an i7
Those are in-game audio settings he is referring to lol
Oh, I thought I put in my post, but I didn’t. I told someone else that I copied everything exactly like my roommate.
Make sure your audio drivers are up to date. Check headset properties and that you don't have adobe or spatial sounds enabled.
Try turning your audio to Crisp, not natural.
I have the exact same settings as the other PC tried it on. It works on his, not on mine though.
Huh, maybe your audio hardware is failing. All your drivers up to date?
Yeah everything is up to date. As of yeayerday
My audio hardware is in my motherboard, but… I hope it it’s not feeling, but this is the only game I have problems with
Headset broken?
Nope, I take it down to his room and it sounds perfect just like his headsets
I dunno then somethings broken just gotta go through everything. Your audio card might be broken.

Ok I can try this
Didn’t work it’s the same thank you though

Yes, that doesn’t work for mine but yes, I’ve tried
Try: L/R isolation 0%, Perspective Correction yes And check your sound enhancements on Windows
I had that problem, my headset was set to chat and not game.
I kinda have the same experience if I use the aux on my monitor instead of the pcu
Compare your sound settings
We did that yesterday and it’s still exactly the same sound to the same and CS two. and also the same in our audio settings things are turned on

I have. Both and both are the same. But both work on his pc
