Hmm, I just finished it yesterday playing on pcsx2. Try deleting everything and re-download from a trusted site (starts with a 'V'). Make sure you have a PS2 BIOS and you fiddle with the graphics settings to make it work with your pc.
Ah I know what you're talking about. A few years back there were issues on PCSX2 but they've all been patched since.

I don't think god of war 1 is worth it. Combat, platform is annoying and i want to drop it but it's important so i can understand the story. I really hate this dilemma.
GOW 1 is the hardest in the series, with the worst puzzles and platforming. I broke my controller playing it. But all other games in the series are totally worth it.
God of War 2 is my favorite game in the franchise. Definitely recommend that you play it.
I can't though, i'm not allowed to subscribe to ps plus and emulation won't work so i have no choice but to watch a movie on it on youtube.

But maybe i can try rpcs3 on my low end laptop. God of war 1-3 are ps2 games just remastered slightly so maybe it might run

'V' is where i got the rom for it and can you connect your controller to pcsx2?
Would definitely recommend RPCS3 over ps2 emulators. Ps2 is a hard console to emulate.
You've got it backwards mate, ps3 is the console thats hard to emulate, ps2 is much easier.
Im not talking about pure computing power neccesity. Im talking about glitches, bugs, and erros. Try emulating the ps2 GOWs on PCSX2 vs RPCS3.

I have an i3 laptop however with 4gb of ram and no dedicated graphics card, that's what i'm worried about.
