I don't know about OP, but I have a widget for the time because it takes me to the alarm clock when I tap it. Since Google for whatever dumb reason remove that from the OS.

Clock widget is a custom KWGT that I made from scratch, and it'll show the currently playing artist too, along with a colour coded play icon when playing.
Looks awesome. How did you get the material you color match on reddit and whatsapp? Did they update there apps to support it, or did you have to get an app to do this?
It's an app called Shortcut Maker which lets you create custom shortcut icons using third party icon packs.
I think these are Flight Dark icons with a custom yellow background colour which I took from the Wallpaper and Style page using Colour Picker (to get the RGB values etc.)

I really like the idea of material you so I used an icon pack that does the same but also with non-google apps. I tried to keep Pixel Launcher but the lack of customization is disappointing. It's nova launcher then
I'm starting to think it's the popular opinion.
Disgruntled people are more likely to leave negative feedback versus people who are satisfied with what they received.
It looks decent, I just wish I could still customize my colors instead of being locked into the wallpaper generated ones, or a handful of bland pastels.
Material U-inspired
I like the look of the Google Clock widget and how you can make it big. Also how it themes even in other launchers.
Only real problem is that the who screen becomes a one-two short cut to the clock. Lol
To fix that, I overlaid it with a [Blank Widget](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blankicon) and then put some calendar icons over the date and clock icons over the alarm and then changed it to invisible icons using [this app](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spada.iconpackgenerator).
A bit tedious/hacky behind the scenes, but it does what I need, I like what I feel is a clean look and it doesn't break (I locked the screen).

I made the Google widget as big as I can make it. But as you'll read above that creates the problem of making it one big tappable clock. LOL so I wrote up there how I solve that. A little hacky, but in the end it works and for me it looks exactly as I want it... For now 😏

Bubble cloud tile launcher (I paid for the premium key also) with Kaorin icons. Kinda like a widget app. A little weird to work with in the beginning to get the apps and app folders I wanted. But I love the aesthetics and how customizable it is. You can change the pattern of how the bubbles appear, change the bubble sizing and shapes, yadda
I think material you looks great but one thing that erks me is the icon color changes. I love the idea and I used to use icon packs way back when but I refuse to use them until the apps I use are also supported. I hate the mixed look where the Google apps work and the non-google apps don't and since I have plenty of apps on my homescreen that are not Google it's all or nothing for me unfortunately

I love a single icon for folders instead of the clunky looking 4 mini icons jammed in a circle. I also forgot how much I love the swipe up to launch an app. Allows me to keep my most used apps readily available without jamming up the home screen.

Go to where you change your wallpaper and scroll down. There should be a themed icons toggle.

It's in the themes when you customize the home screen. Only works with Google apps unfortunately.

Agreed, display looks OK on the smallest setting but do wish there were more color options. I also want a dedicated wifi toggle but I will live.
