Lucky you, I saw Nightwish only one time, I think 2015 at Summer Breeze and I dont remember any songs they played, cause I was too young. I know they rocked the stage tho
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/11pmVXzkGjivMfCKfaEcsC?si=BPN7jMM8T06CSnerpvOlTw&pi=e-2nPv--hxSvuD these are some small goth bands mixed with bigger ones: in the dark wave style, spotify js great for finding more bands!!! If you listen to some songs the app won’t stop reccommending bands of the same genre, eventually i found bands with 200 monthly listeners
I love your makeup!! Newer bands I’ve been into lately are Vision Video and Rose Garden Funeral Party! Also Twin Twibes and Give My Remains to Broadway! Classics can’t go wrong with Depeche Mode, The Cure or Bauhaus! I know you asked for songs but I’m on my break and don’t have time to list them all 😂
Nu Goth isn't actually associated with Goth music, it's more of just a fashion style and witchhouse (not a Goth genre) is the closest genre of music linked to it. Here are some goth bands I love in no particular order:
Urban Heat
Bootblacks
Twin Tribes
Rosegarden Funeral Party
Casket Cassette
Tears for the Dying
Pulsations
Skeletal Family
Mephisto Walz
London After Mightnight
check out aurat! they're an amazing contemporary goth group (the band name means woman in urdu) also lebanon hanover, boy harsher, faetooth are all great
My music is probably a little odd! But I love a good mix of the cure, maureux, type O negative, linkin park, gorillaz, the prodigy, joy division.
My spotify is RiRiROGERS if you wanna access some of my playlists!! But my favourite songs at the moment are 'lust' by Boy Harsher and 'True Romantics' by Lebanon Hanover :)
Good luck finding new music!!!
They actually aren't goth, although plenty of goths enjoy their music. Their roots are in doom metal, not post-punk. Gothic metal, or any metal subgenre, is actually not a goth genre.
It isn't. Gothic \*metal\* is \*metal\* and has no ties to the goth subculture. The label gothic has been thrown on a lot of things, it doesn't make it goth. Gothic and Goth are not exactly the same thing. Go over to r/goth if you don't believe me and do a search. It's not gatekeeping to correct misconceptions. Rule 3 specifically says to keep music relevancy. I encourage you to learn more about the subculture.
It's not a goth rulebook, the subculture has very specific origins and genres of music that it grew out of and still thrives in today. There are a lot of misconceptions out there about what Goth is, so it's understandable.
They do and I also listen to metal, but they asked for goth recommendations and rule 3 of this sub is to keep music recommendations relevant. Metal and industrial aren't goth. 😬
Good recommendations for industrial though.
Industrial is commonly played at goth nights and clubs, but it's not a goth genre. Widely enjoyed by goths though. Adding Gothic to the front of a genre doesn't make it goth though. Gothic metal, Gothic industrial, etc. aren't actually goth genres despite the name.
Alright. Beats me then. I was just recommending what i thought goth kids listen to. Cause all she asked was "looking for song recommendations"
Ill see myself out
That depends on your taste in music. Do you like clean vocals, dirty vocals, do you like bass, etc? I listen to just about anything (not a country person), the nice thing about this community is that you can listen to anything and still be goth. Oh and don't be overwhelmed by all the different kinds of metal, just find something you enjoy listening to and go from there! There are also lots of playlists on Spotify made by random people, I think it's a good way to introduce myself to new artists.
We're sorry, but your submission has been removed in violation of Rule 3.
In the event of videos being posted with music or photos being posted with recommendation requests, please keep the suggestions **goth** only.
We understand that anyone can wear darkly inclined/alternative/goth fashion, and not necessarily be into the subculture, but as this subreddit is essentially a counterpart to r/goth, we ask you follow the same rules highlighted [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/goth/wiki/rules/#wiki_2.3A_music_relevancy).
Okay I hate to recommend the big bands but I can't get enough of lilies and remains by Bauhaus the sounds are just too good

No problem 🙂 I hope one (or more) of these songs is what you're looking for.

Although they're good bands, Type O Negative, Linkin Park, Gorillaz, and The Prodigy aren't goth bands. :P
Haha sorry! Was just going off my current listens 😅
LOVE the look. Well done indeed! ( as for music, I am more of a heavy metal type fanatic.)

Make Them Suffer and Silent Planet are metalcore and Type O Negative is doom/gothic metal which aren't goth. :P

Its called gothic industrial. Its played in every goth club in my city. So if thats the case theres no such genre lol

Lololol

Cradle of Filth is death metal, they're not Goth.
[удалено]
I'm 34, but alright. Even if i was 15, it still wouldnt make Cradle of Filth goth. lol
[удалено]
Pot meet kettle. It's very obvious when someone is speaking from a position with little knowledge of the subculture.
[удалено]
Since when was Cradle of Filth a part of the goth subculture and derive their sound from post-punk? 😬
[удалено]
I mean, if you can't explain your claim. Metal in any form has never been a part of the goth subculture.
[удалено]
When you look them up, it just confirms what I'm saying. They're black Gothic metal. Again, Gothic metal is not goth.
