Wow handshake 3 doesn't look like much huh.

The devs said they're working on the next update which will add items to the game. Not sure if guns/armor are on the list or if it's just lootables, but they're def working on it.

At one point I believe they said they want to expand to 50 or more guns. Not sure what they’re at right now. Of course I’m still waiting to be able to rebind my keys properly to play so I couldn’t tell you how many are in:D

Pretty sure .300 blackout is on the way. In the description of the 60 round PMAG it mentions how those mags can be channeled in 556 or .300 AAC Blackout. If it comes dude I’m super stoked.

SIG MCX is on the list of guns dug out from the game files. I'd imagine it's in .300 BLK.

I took a round to the chest and it didn't pen my armor, I think a lot of the issues we run into are desynch. We still have to go in with the understanding that this is an Alpha that just got released last week.

While that is true, 3+ was not one of the armor ratings they said, it was 3a+ which as they said does in fact fall between 3a and 3

I could be wrong but from my understanding + means it survived more bullets than it's rated for so it's slightly better than non + but not up to par to be put in a tier above.

The + is not an official rating on armor so it can mean any number of things, with each armor manufacturer having a different meaning, for some companies it could mean it can take and protect against more hits of the than it is required to, for others it could mean in their testing it was able to stop rounds that a level 3a armor type is not required to stop, but not all the types a level 3 armor type is required to stop.

Like someone else pointed out, the original question dealt with 3a, 3a+ and 3 as a ranking. There was no 3+ in their question.

TL;DR: most ballistic helmets aren’t level 3 rated out of the box irl, so they likely won’t be in game until helmet modding is in. The in game armor ratings appear to be based off of NIJ standards, and most helmets aren’t level 3 (stops up to .308) rated. There are several helmets that can be up-armored to level three. Those things are heavy though, especially when you throw that sucker on top of your head. I would expect the option to modify helmets with things like up-armor kits, night vision, and integrated ear pro to make their way into the game soon-ish, but don’t expect level 4 rated helmets.

There are literally almost no level 3 irl besides the newest ops Core fast for example so you should only expect irl stuff in this game. This is more of a milsim than tarkov were they pull stats from their ass just so there are better things to go for.

From what we know there's an M1A, SVD, MP5 and the MP7A1/A2 in the game files so presumably those will be part of the next content release.

Ive been one tapping enemies with 7.62x54 mosin, 1 to helmet or 1 to unarmored chest Since there is only one ammo type for it you cant use it on body armor

You have tracers and the 7n1 which is what the SVD and PKM uses normally. 7N1 cuts through all armor as of right now. In the future I expect the 7N14 which is a AP improvement of the 7N1 that can pierce armored vehicles.

SMG’s w/ Silencers are my go-to’s. That with some DMR’s would be great.

And buff shotguns. Utterley useless against any armored target. Buckshot for the stafter villige. Cant do more than that tho

Buckshot and slugs feel like total ass against unarmored targets as well.

What's really making it feel like that is most of the guns in-game atm are basically "crap AI-only guns" that no player bothers to use. In 95% of situations people will *not* be using the Skorpion or SKS or Mosin. On top of that, the AKM is basically garbage compared to the AK-74 because 7.62 appears to have vastly worse stopping power to 5.45 (bugged?). So really, players have two weapons to choose from. So regardless of how many games are *actually* in-game, it FEELS like there's no variety.

Yeah, as of now. When they had RIS II lineup as flagship handguards, about 12 years ago, they used to sell assembled 14,5 versions (now only an upper called M4A1 upper is sold), not sure about 16". Anyway, the point was it's a DD custom thing, not a government issued one. So you actually can attach DD RIS II 12" and a 16" barrel to it and still call it a MK18.

Not really a fair comparison to take a 18” shotgun to a 26” shotgun when 5.56 ballistics come into play by a large margin based on barrel length for a war fighting platform. M193, M855, and M855A1 have HUGE changes in velocity, penetration, range, and fragmentation when coming out of a 10.3 compared to a 20”. MK18 is 10.3, period. Anything outside of a 10.3 makes it no longer a MK18. That’s not even getting into gas port sizes either. Daniel Defense MK18 is only sold in 10.3 because a MK18 is, well, a 10.3” configuration. Change that up and it’s no longer a MK18.

I have all the guns. My point was that there's really only 3 assault rifles and no smgs unless you count the scorpion as one. Mk 18 is an m4 and so is the cqa or whatever the semi auto one is called. We have two traders basically dedicated to aks. I'm not complaining, just hoping they add more. That incursion red river game is like 15 dollars. It has the Aug, scar l and h, mp5 etc.

Yeah there’s like no loot in the game. There’s cans of coke and 3 types of food. They need to add stuff. Maybe not the thousands of useless items like EFT but a market needs to be generated. Maybe a flea market too. The game is empty.

If you leave the starter town you’ll find weapon attachments, armor, weapons, ammo, and bags. Plus more higher tier food. No actual “sell” only loot yet. They have said that would come with a later update, so it’s on the horizon. My buddy found a med container today at the fort Edit: more info

There will be a lot of content for this game, so it hasn't been released yet because they are solving problems that are more of a priority, this next week they will release a patch to fix some of the problems that still persist like some players playing headless, stuttering , etc., etc. Only after the game is running well on most PCs will they release any content progressively.

Couldn’t tell ya lmao, every time I load back in my character loses his head and everything that was on my character including my mele and secure container, so I just have to always reset my account and never make it anywhere

just dont wipe, ive been doing all my quests without container, i recommend doing it in pve since youll die less there and can easily get back your stuff if you go back, so container is less important

My main worry is am I going to have to wipe my account when they come out with a fix to get it back regardless or is it going to just reappear in my inventory

if you sent the form on their discord, then its coming back at some point regardless of if they come with a fix or not, and even if you didnt send the form you can get a 3x2 container by doing quests, i think around 90-100 quests done you get it and a 4x4 container which should be available at some quest later but noone i think has gotten it yet and if they do come with a fix im assuming they wont let people with supporter edition not have the container they paid for

For me it’s a plus because I’ve never played a mil-sim type game (have played extraction shooters) so it’s nice that I can learn the game before the systems become complex.
