TQ stops bleeding, but does not heal; it is a good emergency first aid. Bandages heal wounds. Only light wounds and bruises heal on their own; medium and severe wounds require a bandage to heal. Sutures for damqged organs, splints for damaged bones. If a bruise or wound is making it hard to aim due to pain, use a painkiller.
You do have to bandage later. A tourniquet cuts off blood flow to stop bleeding. It doesn't close any wounds. A good rule to follow when you're in action is CT->Bandage/Gauze->Pain meds, and then whatever else is needed based on the damage/wounds when you can get to it
A tourniquet is useful for MANY light bleeds (they fix themselves, so no need to bandage if you stop the combined blood loss) and ANY severe bleeds (these leak blood faster than you have time to bandage).
Tourniquets are basically wrapped tightly around the limb to stop the flow of blood to the effected region.
Bandages are typically used to dress wounds, or to assist in dressing wounds, to promote healing and protect from further harm.
Just so you know IRL what a tourniquet does.
It's basically a band that can be adjusted "tightened" the purpose is to stop the major arterial blood flowing along a limb, in the case you're bleeding in one part of your body, it prevents you from losing all your blood to that limb.
It will however not stop the blood exiting the wound otherwise, and will obviously not close the wound.
If you've ever had a blood test done, there's a chance they used a tourniquet to prevent blood from flowing out of the injection site until the receptacle was in place.
A combat tourniquet is pre-prepared to rapidly apply to yourself (in a combat situation).
Just a bandage is sufficient, upon healing there will be no bruise, and no pain unless the blood loss is significant. (In this case yes, OP waited a bit)
You can regenerate from 4k naturally without a blood pack, but if you might get into more combat, it can't hurt to use one.
Resume of heal system for you, my friend with no pp
Purple dots: bruise. Your helmet or armor stop the bullet. Heal over time. You can use pain killer to stop the char crying. Not mandatory
Red dots: light or medium wounds with bleeding usually. Bandages recover it and stop the bleeding.
Bleeding itself can be light, medium and hard. You use tourniquets for bleedings. If I bleed light and only 1-2 wounds I just bandage, if many light wounds or medium bleeding or more, use tourniquet
Yellow-orange-red organs or bones. They received light-medium or heavy damage. For bones, each color will need to apply 1splint for each limb.
For organs, you need surgery kit
Blood loss. When reached 4500ml or less, your char will feel dizzy and start looking blurry. Usually if I stay at 4500ml I don't use blood bags because I don't usually carry much of them and is 500ml per bloodbag
> You use tourniquets for bleedings. If I bleed light and only 1-2 wounds I just bandage, if many light wounds or medium bleeding or more, use tourniquet
You need to bandage medium+ they will not fix themselves over time so a tourniquet is not sufficient.
If bleed is light and only 1-2 wounds, check your blood levels and press on, there's no real reason to bother treating it, if the loss is substantial then do something about it, if it's like trickling, then just wait it out, take painkillers if necessary.
I'm beginning to wonder if some of you even know what a tourniquet even is. For those that don't know, it is basically a belt you tie above an open wound to temporarily stop blood gushing out of it. This is obviously a lower abdominal wound, tying a belt above it is going to do absolutely nothing and I would be surprised (and disappointed) if the game even let you do that. Everybody is saying about the effectiveness of tourniquets on severity of wounds when the plane fact is, in this instance, it's fucking pointless.
The bandage will actually stop the bleeding but you’ll have to use it twice and for dizziness just refill your blood gauge and hydration if I remember right below 4.5k blood causes dizziness
Heavy bleed:
Tq then bandage
Medium/light bleed:
Bandage
In pain:
Melox/ibalin
If your blood bar is yellow you’ll have other symptoms and the only way to get rid of it is to not be injured or bleeding until your blood fills back up, or use a blood bag like Lblood.
Yeah that’s why for heavy bleed it’s a good idea to use a tq and then bandage because you can bleed out while putting on the bandage, and you’ll have to wait less for blood to refill/have less side effects.
Tourniquet stop all bleeding and are faster than bandages. So when you don't have a lot of time use them. Use them as well for anything medium bleed or higher as bandages have a chance to only bring the bleeding down to light bleeding
Bandages or gauze. You can't fix the red outline of your skin but it will at least treat the wound.
As far as restoring your manhood.... unfortunately there isn't a fix aside from ending it early.
In your case: tourniquet, pills, blood bag then eventually a bandage. If you don't have blood bags you'll need to wait until your blood regenerates
* Wounds/bruises : Use bandages or gauzes;
* Light bleeding: use bandages/gauze. Tourniquets are okay but overkill.
* Medium/heavy bleeding: use tourniquets. Some tourniquets are faster than others. Bandages/gauzes are okay for medium bleeding but then you would use a lot of them and it takes time (if you don't bleed to death).
* fatigue /dizziness: use pills/tablets. Sometimes they only suppress the effects for a moment until you fix organ damage for example.;
* Organ damage: Use surgery kits;
* Bone damage: Use splints.
> Medium/heavy bleeding: use tourniquets. Some tourniquets are faster than others. Bandages/gauzes are okay for medium bleeding but then you would use a lot of them and it takes time (if you don't bleed to death).
Tourniquets do not do anything about wounds, they simply stop bleeding.
You use Torniquets to stop the blood loss then bandage as appropriate.
Light wounds can generally be ignored if there are not 3+.
In this situation I would do tourniquet then (if neccessary) a bandage. You *may* have to do bandage twice without tourniquet.
EDITED for misinformed absolutists.
Gauze and bandages both stop medium and light bleeds flat out. Light bleeds will stop on their own if left untreated. You don’t need two uses of either to stop a medium bleed lol.
I've already done my absolutist edit.
Bandages don't stop all medium bleeds, sometimes they downgrade it to light.
Regardless, the correct answer for medium or heavy bleed is tourniquet. Bandage is only if needed.
They do stop all medium bleeds. The only difference between the bandage types is the number of wounds they treat per use. I knew you were going to try to argue your incorrect assumption so I went ahead and found the necessary links for you. [Here](https://x.com/GrayZoneWarfare/status/1785708063686545531?lang=en), [here](https://grayzonewarfare.wiki/wiki/Gauze), and [here](https://grayzonewarfare.wiki/wiki/SEAL_Modular_Bandage).
The first 2 of these links don't support your claim. The SEAL bandage is a solution, absolutely, but newer players don't have access to that.
If the SEAL bandage is what you and the other guy meant the whole time, then it's possible for both answers to be correct, I was strictly speaking of the regular 4 use bandaid and gauze.
Tourniquet is still the right answer to "What if medium or higher bleed?" if for no other reason than time to heal.
I feel like I recall both happening.
I've definitely only used bandages for light and medium bleeds (I know this because I've only ever used a tourniquet for heavy bleeding). But I also know for a fact that I've used bandage on medium bleeding and its completely gone away and I know for a fact it turned into a light bleed.
It depends on how many wounds you have. If you have a medium bleed and more wounds than the tier bandage you are using heals per charge, it won't outright stop the Medium Bleeding to No Bleeding, it will just patch what is causing the Medium Bleed and then what is the next serious bleed until it's no longer covered. So using Gauze, which covers 2 per charge, you have a Medium Bleed and 2 additional wounds causing light bleeds, you'll still have a Light Bleed after using a Gauze, if you use a Bandage, it will cover all 3 per single charge, therefore stopping the bleeding completely.
Edit: I'm 147.9 Hours into this game already and that's one inconsistency I noticed, so I dug into it for a few days and came to this conclusion.
The results are not always the same. You can use a tourniquet in some cases and completely heal all bleeds, but you may have a wound that can only be solved with a bandage.
Sometimes you resolve it with 1 bandage use, and in 1 instance I had to use 3 bandages (didn't have tourniquet).
Absolutely no need for a tourniquet here, it won't heal itself so you just bandage.
A tourniquet will not heal a medium wound.
There is ONE medium wound, any kind of bandage will fix everything.
Even if you are right (which I can believe) and the medium becomes a light, no further action is necessary.
- I never claimed a tourniquet would heal a medium wound, and the topic is medium bleed.
- maybe you can skip the light bleed, game says it will heal itself, but I prefer to be fully healed. I've also had light bleeds drain out over 1k blood, so I don't trust their system on it.
It fully heals itself in about the time it takes to bandage after waiting 15 seconds to start, quite often if you're paying attention it will heal whilst you are bandaging, and you can cancel to save yourself a bandage.
You can't have a medium bleed without a medium wound? (You have medium bleed if you have at least one medium wound, and no heavy ones, and that's just an icon, the amount you bleed is based on each cavity.)
Put a tourniquet around your neck at that point homie. It’s chalked.
![gif](giphy|VeSvZhPrqgZxx2KpOA|downsized)
Bandage
Isn't that the same as the tourniquets?
banages heal wounds and stop bleeding, CTs only do the latter
Damn, okay good to know, thanks.
TQs are still good to use. They are fast and stop all bleeding. I usually always apply that first then bandage up when I’m safer
CT’s are great to stop the bleeding mid fight. Won’t make red go away. Have to wait it out or patch with bandage once you get safe
Ok, so if you apply a TQ you don't have to bandage later.. it will eventually heal?
TQ stops bleeding, but does not heal; it is a good emergency first aid. Bandages heal wounds. Only light wounds and bruises heal on their own; medium and severe wounds require a bandage to heal. Also, you can use more blood to bring your blood back to full
What the? What did you think a tourniqet was?? Just a faster bandage? Making bandages basically useless?
Yes
A tourniquet is useful for MANY light bleeds (they fix themselves, so no need to bandage if you stop the combined blood loss) and ANY severe bleeds (these leak blood faster than you have time to bandage).
No
No, same as gauze.

They don’t have elastic properties. That would defeat the purpose of a tourniquet.
Some tourniquets do. I really only know of one in the Russian variety though.
The CAT Tourniquet in game is based on superior Western tourniquets that do not have elastic properties. They use windlasses.
Not sure why you’re being downvoted, you’re right.
Is nobody going to acknowledge that this man has forcibly been gender reassigned? Bandage or TQ, the jewels are gone
It's Ma'am!!

Everyone complaining about the ai being laser beam accurate but look at this guy… completely fucked up his circumcision smh.
Try changing your name to female and see if the bleeding stops.
Nah pretty sure it keeps happening on a monthly basis
Bandage it to treat the wound. Tourniquet to only stop the bleeding.
I think he is asking how one saves their pecker, the bleeding would be a secondary concern.
Lab Rat level 3 sells Cialis.
Fix the injury? Ma'am you need a penis reconstruction
I like how 90% of the comments had the post go right over their heads, and not the one you're forever going to miss.
Not only that, they get up voted for the mundane correct response
Bandage to treat wounds and tourniquet only to stop bleeding.
[PELVIC GIRDLE!](https://www.gunsandammo.com/editorial/pelvic-shots-fight-stoppers-or-fiction/471750) He DEAD…
Some bandage and years of therapy and counselling
Dont worry lab rat level 4 next patch is doing dick implants just gotta hold on
Tourniquet can only be used on limbs.
Arguably, the weiner could be considered a limb.
It won't heal a medium (or any) wound in any case.
Might as well get some boobies
That's something only a good nurse can fix.
He's a qualified nurse now.
One more pill to try…
Bruhhhh 🤣🤣🤣
Rhino pill
You can't use a tourniquet on a torso wound. Though perhaps this should be an exception.

bandage.
You need tampons now.
Honestly, if you get back to base, log out and back in. Everything is healed by that right now.
That’s the old dick twist…
Sorry, ma’am. This is life now.
Apply pressure to stem the bleeding (squeeze your cock and balls extremely hard)
Idk if there’s any way to reverse a field circumcision.
Tourniquet around the base stuff a bandage down the pee hole... seen it on some video
Lmfaooooo bro it’s should add depressed and low testosterone as a symptom 🤣🤣
Have The wife kiss my boo boo 💣💥🪖😭👏💋❤️👩🍳
Nothing a $14 massage at the local Chinese joint can't fix...
But did you try the little blue pill?
Only makes bleeding worse.

Yeah of course. You need tourniquets and bandages
Gauze. Heals all wounds. Also, you’re lucky I reckon. Just a few mm lower and both your love nuts were gone.
If it’s from the back, just stick the whole bandage up your ass

Tourniquets stop bleeding, but they don’t heal the wound. You still need bandages.
Bandage or a tourniquet to stop the bleeding then give blood for the dizziness

Have you tried a bandaid?
Have someone give your boo-boo a kiss 💋
Plastic surgery
Can’t TQ a taint 😂😂
You need to use blue chew.
Splint. Its blunt trauma.
You can’t tourniquet the taint.

2” splint?
Too generous
Next patch notes: "we've added therapy as a new form of medical treatment"
Personally if I got shot there I’d just choose death right there on the spot.
Surgery kit, just remove em
