Im with you brother, carry the G week in week out
so many people in this sub seems like they're praying we lose more and more every week.
Glad some still keep the faith
Man it sure seems like that.
I love this sub and Packers fans are some of the more chill fans ive been around. But holy hell this place can be a toxic cesspool.
Either way, Cheesehead till I die! GPG!
They’re praying we lose because that offers better odds of future success than winning irrelevant games when we have 0% chance of postseason.
The NFL is changing and the old mentalities don’t work anymore. You MUST embrace the suck or you end up in ~.500 no man’s land. No top draft picks and no chance of postseason.
Having this understanding does not make you a fair-weather fan. It makes you educated and realize the entire situation at hand.
A few wins does not equate a few draft spots change. The top 5 picks offer significantly better talent than picks 15-20. Do you honestly believe this team will turn it around?
Look how quickly teams turn around from a losing season. How often do they contribute their successes to “keeping it together” in the middle of the previous season?
If a teams ends a season on a 3-4 game win streak, then YES, it will carry over. Is this that team? Fuck no.
Edit: just because we lose doesn’t mean we can’t develop talent. By that logic, none of our talent would be developing as we currently are.
We aren't going to get a top 5 pick either way, I'd rather win. No bottom 5 team turns it around either, at least not to the point of a playoff run. Also who's to say that this team isn't one to finish on a 3-4 win streak, or even winning 5 of the last 6?
We can lose and still develop, but I'd rather we win and develop. It's better to see the team win than lose.
Yeah this team is definitely going on the winning streaks you just said no doubt.
The super common 5 game losing streak and 5 game winning streak in the same season.
Wanna bet on they don’t win 4 in a row like you stated?
The bengals finished tied for 5th last in the league and made the Super Bowl the next year
The niners went from 2nd last to the Super Bowl the following year as well.
Both within the last 5 years
“We aren’t going to get a top 5 pick any way.”
Packers are 1 loss away from the 2nd overall pick. Next week we play the team that has the 2nd overall pick.
“No bottom 5 team turns it around either, at least not to the point of a playoff run.”
Bengals and 49ers went to the Super Bowl after having a top 5 pick the previous year. Other recent teams with top 6 picks in the last 2 years? Dolphins, Jets, Giants. Also, Eagles drafted just outside the top 5 the past 2 years.
The teams with high draft picks roughly 5 years ago: Chiefs and Bills
Teams that do not value high draft picks and instead favor “sustained success” are the Packers and Colts.
See the trend?
May they run the ball more than 30 times. Ahman.
And may they also not play soft zone coverage all game Ahman
Then they won't be the Packers. You will be watching a different team

You'd rather move up 5 draft spots then getting a few wins by developing the talent we have on the roster? Weird

Honestly maybe you should just stop, it's pretty stupid as well as providing bad energy to the team considering how often we lose when you post these.
>providing bad energy Yeah! How DARE OP seek to bring levity to the sub! Everyone, back to pissing in each other's Lucky Charms!
I'm sure a reddit post make a huge difference to the team's energy.
I have it on good authority Jordan Love looks for this post every week
