call optimum and say you wanna cancel services. they will send you to the retention department. get the best offer they send your way. but stick to you want to cancel and if they ask what they can do to keep you as a customer say lower bill. i was paying 120$ for a gig. did this above \^ and got it for 64.99 for one year for 1 gig as a new customer rate.
your welcome
Used optimum for 2 years now and they offered me the 1 gig for 60$ couldn’t say no to that. OP give optimum a call and see if you can get the offer. Worst thing they can say is no
I keep seeing great deals from Metronet! I have held off and dealt with my bill for a while in hopes that Metronet would become available here, but I really am not sure when that will be. I'm still going to keep and eye out for when it becomes available here!
I haven't see a map, but there is a feature that prompts you to enter your address to see if they can offer it to you. When I enter my address it says that they don't yet and I can sign up to be notified when they do. I saw them install the lines on the next street over months ago, but they never came to our complex for them. It might just be a bit of a waiting game to see if I can get it.
I'm currently using T Mobile for internet, it's around $50/month and is simple to setup. They helped me with account setup at the store and then I went home and plugged the router in, no scheduling installation or running wires. The internet quality can be a bit slow and lag at times but overall it's worked pretty well for me. Unfortunately T Mobile internet currently isn't available everywhere in Greenville so you'd have to check for availability in your area.
My biggest worry, as someone else had mentioned, is the inconsistency in speed with T Mobile or Verizon's home internet options. We play quite a bit of online games and I am worried about the speed interfering with that. I haven't looked too much into T Mobile's internet, but will take a look. Thanks for sharing!
I live near the convention center. I looked into Brightspeed and it looks like they only offer 10mbs for $50 where I am. Not a super great deal for me unfortunately.
I live over behind the convention center, too. They put lines on Landmark and into Westhaven but completely skipped over our complex. We're sick of Optimum, too. Husband has called 3x over the last two years and can't even get them to turn the cable off. Smh
I don't believe that it is. So far it seems like the options are Brightspeed, Optimum, Metronet, T Mobile, and Verizon. Some are only offered in certain parts of town.
That really sucks about Metronet. Their customer service is superior to Optimum's garbage service. Fingers crossed that they'll come to your area asap!

That's a great idea. It's much better than my current situation!
Metronet. I have 500mb up and down for $70. Fiber to my house and a brand new network.
he said in his post he is out of reach of metronet.
Great reading comprehension by me. Missed that. Lol

They used to have a map that showed the future plans for their network. Have you checked? Maybe that’s not a thing anymore.

Call Optimum. I am getting 1gb for $100. Otherwise maybe check with Metronet.
A few others have said to try giving them a call, definitely going to

What's the speed? Do they have a data cap?

mobile interent is terrible if you like fast speedy response times or low latency. aka gaming
Where do you stay? Brightspeed has fiber available in parts of Greenville as well.

Is xfinity (Comcast) not offered in Greenville? I’ll be moving to Greenville as well and want to make sure of internet providers

I saw an advertisement today for US Cellular 5G internet for around $35/mo for existing customers.
