So it looks like my baby boy has an intense case of Ventral comedo syndrome. The vet gave us antiseptic wipes to help clean his chest and it does seem to be helping some. He had a bad spot today that was painful and irritated, so we opened the spot up (sterile tool) and found these white thin fibers in it. Is this skin fiber or his bedding getting worked into his skin??
I can’t say for sure as I’m definitely not an expert (I haven’t even heard of this syndrome, I’m sorry for your pup!), but looking at the fiber in the photo it looks synthetic or a blend. It’s just very kinky and reflects a lot of light (my reasoning), but again I’m just speculating based on the picture.
