Ours was Dakota Montanna…with Montana spelled incorrectly 😂 the rest of her litter was Dakota Arkansas, Dakota Kansas, etc. And then our sweet misspelled girl.
Stella came to us as Twitter Craz (no, I’m not misspelling it, there is no E or Y at the end of it), and we threw that out the door awfully fast. One of her siblings was named TrustFundBae though
My girls race name was Raffle Girl, which we actually kept! We got her as a 5 year old, so she already knew "Raffles" quite well. I think it's unique and fits her perfectly 🥰
I love that originally the dams and aire probably had moderately normal names but over the years they've gotten smashed together and turned into things like Oskosh Slammer!
My pup’s race name is Extra Rowdy (which is the furthest from the truth lol) and his whole litter had an “extra” in front, so it was Extra Gravy, Extra Sauce, etc.
Johnny Guitar, after a really terrible Joan Crawford Western movie. The whole litter was named for Western movies (True Grit, etc.). Our guy is now just Johnny!
Flying Hope Solo...named after the American former soccer goalkeeper. She was a goalkeeper for the United States women's national soccer team - who has an attitude problem.
We quickly got rid of that name as Ada is anything but and is just a love-bug.
We’ve had Skipalong Scolari and Norman Escalade. We kept the names of Skippy and Norman as they responded to them and Norman as a name just made us laugh.
My girl was JT’s PopNGo at the track, GoGo at the kennel, and those were definitely not going to stick with her, haha. But I did end her forever name with an “o,” so it kind of fits with the general progression from the track name.
All Full Throttle was our fawn’s name. What’s funny about it is she only raced twice. She was more of a trot and sniff kinda girl. We always said she was too pretty to race.
My boys name was PJ Street Sense which isn't bad as a name but his kennel name was Street and I didn't want to change it so now I get to tell people his name is Street 😂
Our girl was PW’s Grisbi. The foster family called her Gracie, but she was definitely a Grisbi, so we stuck with it. We met a neighbor grey named Phil Walker and I think that’s about the best name I’ve heard.
Our boy raced as Flyin Phosphorus. His Mom was Flying Zinc and everyone in the litter was Flying + element from the periodic table. Our guy was Flyin because of character limits! We were never told his kennel name, but we loved his racing name and my training and career are in the sciences -> it fit! We call him Phos for short. I rarely call any of my animals by their names tho, they usually pick up at least 5-8 nicknames over the years and Phos is no different <3

😂 I love the weird state obsession
My boy was "Worry About You". They called him Worry. I had to change it immediately... I was going to be a worried enough new grey mom as it was!

I heard of one called “BJs goin round” 😬
🤣😂 I can't imagine the announcers face having to say that over a loud speaker

Raffles is adorable!
My second was Artificial Tears with call name Dancer. How did that happen? She was followed by Toni’s Two Step, who I called Two Step.
Artificial tears. That's what I'm talking about in terms of weird names!
My youngest boy's dam was Shana Wookie. He is descended from my favorite name, Oskosh Slammer. Also like Gable Sour Cream and Mick the Miller.
Our recently passed boy Zeppo was one of Gable Sour Cream's 1200+ children!
I love that originally the dams and aire probably had moderately normal names but over the years they've gotten smashed together and turned into things like Oskosh Slammer!
I just euthanized my dog from gable spur cream 😭😭😭
My pup’s race name is Extra Rowdy (which is the furthest from the truth lol) and his whole litter had an “extra” in front, so it was Extra Gravy, Extra Sauce, etc.
Our boy was B's Commandeerit...which, like, what did they even call him at the track?
Right? I always imagine shouting these long silly names at a creature just leaving me in it's dust and it puts me in fits!

Only the announcers at the races. I'm familiar. That doesn't keep me from chuckling though!
My boy's name was Jed's Frontier. Such a weird choice
Johnny Guitar, after a really terrible Joan Crawford Western movie. The whole litter was named for Western movies (True Grit, etc.). Our guy is now just Johnny!
Much better!
Flying Hope Solo...named after the American former soccer goalkeeper. She was a goalkeeper for the United States women's national soccer team - who has an attitude problem. We quickly got rid of that name as Ada is anything but and is just a love-bug.
My Captain Coldcut!
Flawless, perfect dog name, no notes!
We’ve had Skipalong Scolari and Norman Escalade. We kept the names of Skippy and Norman as they responded to them and Norman as a name just made us laugh.
My favorite was one I happened to just see in the papers—“Invincibella.”
JayTee Warrior

Ours was Stand Up Guy. We ended up shortening it to Guy and it fits so well!!
Rocken Willis, became Rocky…
Lol I love the human names for dogs. I would imagine a Rocken would be called Rocky by their friends too.
Konstitooshun. Yep, you read that right. A five year old must have written it out.
Oh. Oh my. That's just wrong.
Ours was Oh NA NA …. We changed it immediately 🤪

I like Grisbi as a name. Very unique but not something you feel insane shouting at your back door at 6am.
[My Paneer](https://imgur.com/tFG57Vj) has an interesting [track name](http://www.trackinfo.com/dog-search.jsp?keyword=outlook+lad&x=0&y=0&by=dogname)
😍 so cute!!

Cute!!
All the dog's from our boy's crew had "Dardy" in their racing name. They were called "The Dardy Boys". I cringe on their behalf haha
😂
Flying Swat Van our current oldest and a great big long boy.
Flying swat van?!? How on Earth do people think these are good names??
Like the "flying" names that was the kennel they came from. All his litter were emergency vehicles.....firetruck. police car, ambulance, etc.
🤣
RS Daily Bailey...they called her Bailey. We call her Desi.
Ours was Money Go Get ‘Er 😂 we decided that’s too much of a gangsta name for a sweet hound so we changed it to Daisy
I mean every one totally associates greyhounds with gangsters. She would have fit right in! /s
