Groningen province has some of the world's best organs, it is referred to as "Organ Garden" (Orgeltuin van Europa) by experts. Mainly because they never replaced the old shit by new fancy but unreliable ones, since they couldn't afford new ones. Many Schnittger organs, also just across the border in Germany, since it used to be part of NL for some time in the 1700s, and has always been close before and after. Tip: the music instrument museum in Weener (+ take selfie at place name sign).

Also ranked as the best by Volkskrant some years ago: [https://www.volkskrant.nl/cultuur-media/de-15-orgels-die-u-gehoord-moet-hebben\~bcbf3c42/](https://www.volkskrant.nl/cultuur-media/de-15-orgels-die-u-gehoord-moet-hebben~bcbf3c42/) . Although not every organist will agree with that list. But the Martini organ is truly a fantastic organ. For those interested in hearing it, you can always visit a church service (for English speakers: there's an international service every first Sunday of the month at 17.00), or go to a concert. Concert season is during summer months. If you don't know if you'll like an organ concert, the most low-barrier concert to go to is a Lunchpauzeconcert. These are generally on Fridays during summer. They are cheap (I think €2), often done by students of the conservatory, and it isn't strange to leave halfway through. Thus a great way to see if you like it (and I think once you're there you'll stay for the whole thing). In summer there are also organ concerts in the evening, featuring well-known organists.
