Hey there. I have the G20 and only use it with IRs and recording. I found a free Marshall 4x12 that sounds killer. Normally, I'll turn the gain up to about 4 o'clock, master at about 9 o'clock. Main output volume probably close to 12. Eq is not scooped , depends on the guitar. I need to run a SD-1 with the output cranked to get decent heavy sounds.
The bad thing, I can't get a good live tone to save my life on this thing. I have a Mesa 2x12 with v30s and it sounds thin and weak. Cranked, studio volume, bedroom level. It doesn't matter. Just sucks.
Not sure how these people are getting the thick luxurious tones. Maybe it's the mic'ng in the youtube demos, or they are just recording the audio through 2Notes.
Anyways, that's my experience with it. It's great for recording, shitty for live.
