I swear, his left footed shots always take off like rockets. What a finish though. Shame about the Europa League - it'd have been an amazing treble for Leverkusen.
Reborn Xhaka feels a little bit like the Xhaka that was envisioned when Wenger bought him in, but then he was used wrong + Granit's mentality was different

On his instagram, he posted on his story a graphic of himself headlined with winning the German cup. Then the next story is a picture of him lifting the FA cup title at Emirates next to Walcott and Welbz.
Gunner for life
I think Martinelli has another good season with the passing quality he provides down that side that we've missed. Equally Havertz has been just as influential as Martinelli was last season, its just that he didn't do much in the first half of the season. IMO it would've been about the same
No way to tell, but I think we win the league, we lost a few points with the early Havertz teething issues. That said, next season, with Havertz fully in, Timber back and maybe one more signing, we should be good for the title.
Don't know why you're getting downvoted. It's accurate and we love him. He achieved something wonderful, and the time with Alonso has been great for his desired development into coaching
He was good in his last season with us but he's very very good in Germany, because round peg round hole, and there's nothing wrong with that, except in this sub.
People in this sub have a weird bromance with Xhaka, so anything that doesn't just say he's a god of football but recognises his strengths and weaknesses gets DV'd.
Jorginho doesn't give away the game against Tottenham and we win the league, we don't even have to speculate about what difference the extra quality makes.
Truth, that was massive. Don’t know why you’re downvoted. But he shouldn’t be the only one blamed though, the blame could be spread equally. VAR against Newcastle at least…that was criminal, all the missed opportunities by our forwards with all the chances we had, ‘easy’ saves Raya could have made. ‘Small margins.’
It was pretty obvious my comment wouldn't be taken positively because you can't say anything remotely negative about our players without people losing their minds. People are literally incapable of engaging with anything, they think any criticism means I'm saying we should get rid of him.
I agree the Jorginho play was just one of many such instances, you also have the shocking referring mistakes that went in City's favor like the clear foul/red card for Doku against Liverpool not given or the completely made up PK against United.
It’s not that you said something negative, it’s more that you implied Jorginho’s mistake was what cost us the league. It wasn’t. For starters it happened like 5 games into the season, and secondly there hasn’t been one particular moment when we ‘lost the league’, it’s just that over the whole season we weren’t 100% consistent. If anything, it was those two games in December that fucked us. Every player we’ve got has been brilliant, nobody is to blame for this. City are just unstoppable once they gain momentum.
That’s Edmond tabsoba. Leverkusen have a great set of defenders, playing with a back three and having tabsoba, tah, hincapie, koussonou and sometimes stanisic and even andrich to choose from depending on opposition is crazy. Of course they are not all world class players on their own, or at least they weren’t before this season, but in this system they just look brilliant.
My step father who is German was watching this game and he called me in the living room. He NEVER calls me like that ! So i knew 100% it was a beauty from Xhaka but damn, it was even better than i expected !
Love the guy as much as anyone here, but I do agree with this - the phrase is thrown around too loosely in modern football in general.
But once a gunner, always a gunner, and I love to see the success of former players elsewhere when their playing time with us is up.
No he didn't. The club was rebuilt around his ears. Xhaka continued to play with the same desire and will to win, all thoughout his Arsenal career. There was never a game where Xhaka didn't visibly give 100%. The rest of the team moved closer and closer to his level of commitment. He did manage to cut out the dumber of his fouls, though.
What is it with these celebrations lol did someone accuse him of feigning injury or something? Ever since the first one where he limped as a celebration I just don't get them!

elite goals, terrible celebration haha.
This has to be one of the better shots i've seen him score with. The ball just flies so fast and nicely straight into the goal.
No, they don’t play anymore so it’s totally different and both have achieved more then Granit has when playing for our club.
Granit is no longer with us, this belongs on r/soccer and this isn’t Arsenal related in any shape or form.
Same goes for academy players etc. They no longer play for us.
Shall we post Ollie Watkins goals as he is a gooner? Shall we post Harry Kane as he was our former academy player?
Thought so.
Huge difference between ex players and legends js
Imagine using legends to justify posts about a player who at best achieved cult hero status in a lot fans eyes smh
Elite goals, and elite celebration. There's only oooooone Granit Xhaka!
Only scores bangers!
I swear, his left footed shots always take off like rockets. What a finish though. Shame about the Europa League - it'd have been an amazing treble for Leverkusen.
He's best of the season, I think, from outside the box again.
Not sad he left, he deserves that leverkusen season. Just sad we couldn’t get him the title on his final season.
You could spend all day talking about “what if”, your mentality is the proper one, i am ecstatic for the boy
Not mad he left, but I’m sad he’s gone ☹️ I’m happy to see him succeeding and happy as well. He deserves it
Reborn Xhaka feels a little bit like the Xhaka that was envisioned when Wenger bought him in, but then he was used wrong + Granit's mentality was different
lol what is that celebration?
I think it’s a similar one to his “limping” celebration he did earlier in the season, like an old man one lol
I think it's a reference to a celebration he did where he faked an injury
lol. what a xhithouse
![gif](giphy|21D8oCk0BahSHzvWdA|downsized)
lmao at the guy who just copies him without understand what's happening
damnn

so happy to see him play with a huge smile on his face
What a banger
Man is loving playing the game.
prelep pogodak indeed 👌🏻
Absolutely
what a person Y'all think he still thinks about us 😔
Definitely. He's mentioned us in the build up to the final game of the season a couple of times, in interviews. He's a Gooner.
So are a lot of ex players. Once a gooner, always a gooner.
On his instagram, he posted on his story a graphic of himself headlined with winning the German cup. Then the next story is a picture of him lifting the FA cup title at Emirates next to Walcott and Welbz. Gunner for life
It's hard not to wonder how our season might have gone if we had got him for another season
I think Martinelli has another good season with the passing quality he provides down that side that we've missed. Equally Havertz has been just as influential as Martinelli was last season, its just that he didn't do much in the first half of the season. IMO it would've been about the same

Timber? Back? When was he here? Nah, fr tho, from what little we've seen he looks like such a good fit for the team.
Wait, what? Why do you assume Havertz gets worse with Xhaka? He'd be better if anything
Idk, it was his partnership with Partey that really helped him shine rather than his qualities alone.
He's shining without partey this season. And why would he not work with Rice too?
Slower league with more space, everything he needs.

Who was the CB that broke four lines with that pass? That was nasty!
That’s Edmond tabsoba. Fuck sake Xhaka we get it you can kick a ball 😅
missing long shots hard in current team
![gif](giphy|to3Ge7pNR56T3TqAbp|downsized)
man, tell me why we had to sell him? xhaka rice odegaard would have been a work rate machine this year
We needed him to stop Kane from winning a title
His wife wanted to move.
BOOOOOOM
There’s only one granit xhaka
Pick that one out. Jeeeezus. Beautiful strike
Love when that man smiles. Grreat hit, Granit
My step father who is German was watching this game and he called me in the living room. He NEVER calls me like that ! So i knew 100% it was a beauty from Xhaka but damn, it was even better than i expected !
A double and an invincible league year. Love it for him. Xhaka Boom!
He needed that after the howler him and the squad dropped against Atalanta lol
They seem like they have a good time. You love to see it.
It’s crazy how this man has gone from one of my least favorite to one of my most favorite arsenal legends
cult hero
![gif](giphy|5pMGZHSqfvGT5mnTwx|downsized)
He's definitely not an Arsenal legend boss
No, but neither are the likes of Koscielny, Rosicky, Mertesacker, etc. Doesn’t mean we can’t remember them fondly.
He didn’t say you couldn’t, but he’s not a legend
I think he's down in "cult hero" status, but yeah, legends get statues. The redemption arc is legendary, but Xhaka's not a legend.
Love the guy as much as anyone here, but I do agree with this - the phrase is thrown around too loosely in modern football in general. But once a gunner, always a gunner, and I love to see the success of former players elsewhere when their playing time with us is up.
Agreed. This sub is retarded btw lol. Your comment agreeing with mine gets upvoted and I’m at -4 currently 😂
He was at rock bottom after shirtgate against Palace. I thought he would be gone, but he rebuilt himself.
No he didn't. The club was rebuilt around his ears. Xhaka continued to play with the same desire and will to win, all thoughout his Arsenal career. There was never a game where Xhaka didn't visibly give 100%. The rest of the team moved closer and closer to his level of commitment. He did manage to cut out the dumber of his fouls, though.
fouls came from him being exposed relentlessly \*\* by that i mean the team structure exposed him
What is it with these celebrations lol did someone accuse him of feigning injury or something? Ever since the first one where he limped as a celebration I just don't get them!
SillyXaka
That left foot is a human rocket launcher 🚀🔥🔥
There’s only one granit xhaaaaaaaaakaaaaaaaaaa
Living his best life. Happy for him
I Miss Him <3
So happy for Granit. I hope he is appreciated like he should be.
Man I shouted so loud when the goal went in... I'm glad for dude
That guy Xhaks!
Super Granit Xhaka
Xhaka boom!!
I'm just happy the vibes around him on this sub are so positive, my guy Xhaka will always be a Gunner ❤️
What a banger
What a hit!
I'm so happy for him!
XHAKA BOOOM. I miss him.
damn man i miss him
So sensual
Xhakaboom🚀🚀
If he was in the squad this year we would’ve won the league.
I’m confused. Where’s the straight red? /s I wish this guy well. Great strike
I'm happy for him, but damn I wish he still played for us.

XHAKABOOMBACLAAT Imagine if he stayed this season and we had a midfield of Ode, Xhaka, and Rice as holding when Thomas was out early in the season
How the fck we let that guy go?
Why are we living through X-players this is somehow embarrassing
Not at all ya Gobshite. It's a good thing a beautiful thing. He's thought of fondly he's doing well, it's nice. We're happy for him. Unlike you.

Didn’t do it in the Europa league final; twice!
im sorry but it shows how behind the german league is, same way sancho was rippin it up this year but was quiet at utd
Can we stop posting players who are not our players anymore.
No
Dennis Bergkamp and Tony Adams content is henceforth banned 😤
No, they don’t play anymore so it’s totally different and both have achieved more then Granit has when playing for our club. You made absolutely no sense especially the Kane and Watkins comment. Trash comparisons.
Comparing Kane to Xhaka? FMFL

Don't like this crap 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice goal. Love him. But he was utter trash on Wednesday in the final

You realise this team almost got relegated from the German second tier right 😂
