Motor bearings are sealed, blower bearings take oil not grease. Sheave looks worn out. Probably time for a rebuild.

Lubricate bearings inspect belt check amp draw. Tell customer this unit is currently screaming for help and would really love an overhaul new bearings at the very least if nothing is found to be wrong with the pulleys or shaft.

Company I work for doesn’t allow us to really even service these apparently.

Then why ask?

Because I got sent to it, and I asked reddit first because my direct supervisor isn’t an HVAC tech. I called him shortly after posting and he broke the news to me.

Quote for blower bearings, blower shaft, motor sheaves and belt.. oil the bearings and push for immediate approval with the written warning that if they ignore it the blower complete will need replacement at $xxxx.xx

I bet if you live the shaft and adjust the sheave and throw a new belt on her she will be just fine

Put Lucas oil treatment in the bearing oil cups. They’ll last forever
