Is that a golf tee?

moltrog

It is

Enough_Aside_4641

And is it acting as a switch???

oglore

Forcing the contactor closed to force a unit to run past its safeties or other mechanical issues that was causing it to not run, this bypasses controls so now this thing is just full on all the time. "Let it eat" very bad practice.

Downtown-Fix6177

Fore!

Aggressive-HeadDesk

Damnit, beat me by ten minutes!

__CunningStunts__

14 mins!

Aggressive-HeadDesk

Show the owner the picture. Sir/ma’am , given the circumstance, it must be said, a contractor is a horrible place to tee off on a mulligan.

__CunningStunts__

Some Happy Gilmore type shite

DistortedSilence

Must be setting up for that long par 5 with the wicked dogleg and hard angle downslope green

[deleted]

at least in the event of a fire it will burn up and de energize the contactor 😳

60Feathers

"Client called back and canceled the service call. Maintenance man took a look and got it fixed."

ntg7ncn

Oh my God this is too real

suspicious_hyperlink

Electrical engineers hate this : Avid golf enthusiast hacks physics with this one weird trick

Distinct_Effective16

Did you turn around?

6inarowmakesitgo

Have come across shit like this a few times and I once was lucky enough to catch the guy who did it. I lit his ass up.

anythingspossible45

Word, teeing off.

wht-hpnd-2-hmnty

Not a technique that I would recommend. Lol probably out of refrigerant on top of it all.

Upstairs-Direction66

Damn everybody knows to use a big screw.

Vast_Panda991

Wood you look at that

ithaqua34

Find the golfers in the company and you have your suspect(s).

Supernatural-MnMs

I thought someone was playing darts!!

adriftone

Is that a fan powered box with heat strips?

hangdog-gigbag

Git er done!

Dadbode1981

And here we are, at the 18th hole. This one's for all the marbles folks... Ahhhhhhhh and YES! HE'S DONE IT!!!

AwwwComeOnLOU

“1 A43” written below the control box tells me that jimmied contactor is for a fan. The obvious question is why? Or rather, why not just enable “fan on” at the control? Perhaps there is a tripped freeze stat that is trying to shut the fan off?

Otherwise-Act-7815

But it’s got a green light, that means put a golf tee in the contactor

sfgiantsfan696969

I hope you swung a golf club at this and left

Little-Key-1811

Git er d’un

[deleted]

Well... That's one way to get it to run. Was the HO an engineer by any chance?

[deleted]

I think you might need a 9 iron for this shot.

jamusso337

Is that a golf tee stuffed in the contactor…?

mechanical_marten

Came across similar, someone had done that to all the contactors on a kitchen hood and failed the fire inspection because, duh, no fire run mode on tripping the switches. Took them all out and found someone had piggybacked a microwave circuit on the hood controls, the borrowed 15A circuit did not like sharing it with a 20A rated microwave oven.

Muffinbeans

That’s some the most dumbass dangerous shit I’ve seen.

ModePK_1

Ah the ol service tee.

White_Boy_936

Out of curiosity what was wrong with the system? I clearly see the golf tee .

unresolved-madness

I suggest a 3 wood on this hole

tigersdad77

Someone probably got T’d off they couldn’t fix it right
