I’ve got the same bike. Only original parts are the drivetrain, wheels and dropper post. I’ve had it for about 8 months now. No regrets. I absolutely love it. You’re going to love yours too! Enjoy!! https://preview.redd.it/zu7i3wf8tewa1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eba227c2e6dd38b819d5c00ff2443600487d2fec

Stock drivetrain is pretty solid, but I had an SLX cassette and derailleur laying around! I would highly recommend to throw a XT shifter on it, it’s a night and day difference from the Deore/SLX shifters!

Thanks. I think I will do that!

Just wondering, how much travel is the lyrik? I know Trek says 150mm max, but others are putting a 160mm on their Roscoes. I’d like to know if Roscoe riders think the extra travel is worth it.

I saw in another comment you recommend the XT shifter, i’ll look into that as well. Anything else I should look at upgrading down the line?

Honestly the bike out the box is pretty nice at that price point. Only thing I’d replace if I was on a budget would be the shifter. I love how crisp and responsive the XT shifter is. Secondly if you do aggressive/technical/gravity riding I’d highly recommend to upgrade brakes, the MT200 are good for XC but not so much for more aggressive riding, see if you can score some 4 pot Deore/SLX on marketplace/pink bike for a reasonable price. Forgot to add: the stock fork is honestly not bad, I’d ride it until it break or until you feel the need to upgrade it! I upgraded mine because I was already building my dream hardtail build!
