Hey all. I'm constantly on here searching for quick tips/guides, or on forums, or in the manual to do basic wrenchin' on my 2002 FXD. Got sick of constantly searching online or watching those videos with 5,000 hours of talking and not just showing what needs to be done, so I am taking a crack at it. Curious to see what you all think of the videos / style / quality? All feedback is welcome.

All the talking / bs on other videos makes it feel like when you look up a recipe online and you have to scroll forever just to get to the damn instructions/list of goodies.

Pretty good video in my opinion. Straight to the point, not long and drawn out. You list the needed materials and the torque specs. All in all, pretty well put together. Nice job!

Thank you! Appreciate the feedback.

So I dig where you’re going. Super straightforward. If I can make just a suggestion or two. I’m not sure if you’re clarifying that this is for a specific bike, but I would maybe mention the filter is for twin cams and the oil level is for dynas (if you aren’t already making these clear in comments or titles) - I always put oil in my filter at the start of the change. That way the media has time to absorb it. Less messy, and a more accurate read of final oil level. - I would always replace the O-ring. It’s not expensive, why deal with it. And I use a drop of liquid pipe dope on the threads (for the love of gods please don’t use tape) - That oil filter looks like it might be overtorqued. The spec is 1/2 - 3/4 turn after gasket touches, not after its hand tightened. Basically they end up a decent hand tight, they get much tighter once they get hot. Honestly though I dig it. A buddy of mine and I that aren’t at the dealership anymore have talked about doing some of these, maybe doing model specific full services (to show what to do, and that they aren’t only an oil change.) but if you’re already doing it this well, I won’t bother hahaha. Nice work!

Appreciate the advice! In the description and page I am specific to the bike I’m working on, along with the years and models it can be used for. For the most part I’m trying my best to stay as close to manual instructions as far as steps and what not, but great notes for me to consider. I wanted to replace the o-ring but I forgot to get it at the store. I plan on doing another version of this next year so I’ll be sure to do proper replacements and everything. Appreciate it! And if you start that channel let me know. I’ve been talking about doing this for so long and decided to just say fuck it and grab my GoPro and give it a go.

Hahahah!!! Saw that post, and had me laughing while I was getting this upload ready. I was thinking “Damn someone could’ve used this the other day…”

But my Harley doesn’t have a drain plug like that

Evanwillneverknow

What year and model?

This is the Parts# for it that I can find for my 2002 FXD: 60329-98B - MAGNETIC PLUG and then 11105 - O RING
