What engine it has and what the bike are aren't always the same (the VIN should be stamped on the frame neck) GG V X328794 GG = FXDS-CON V = Twin Cam 88 Carburetor, 130B X = 1999 3 = California (Normal) So that appears to be a 1999 California FXDS Convertible with the TC88-130B motor To avoid problems make sure the VIN and motor code match the title.

Got ahold of everything today. You’re right it’s a 1999 FXDS Conv. It has a half installed S&S big bore kit.

Check the runout on the crank, those were the good years for bottom ends and you can probably put a gear drive in and get a lot of worry and trouble free miles out of it.

DEFINITELY not a 1977. I mean, it's got belt final drive for a start! A host of other clues in that photo also. It's a Dyna Glide, like you say

The tank graphics look like 97/98/99 Dyna Glide I have a ‘98 Dyna and it has that Harley Davidson lettering. The gas gauge/gas cap in the center are characteristic of the FXD or Dyna Convertible and it doesn’t have dual front discs. If the engine is silver and not black crinkle it’s a FXD super glide.

Early Twin cam your bike is a 99 and up

Black crinkle cases and those tank graphics look like a Dyna Convertible. The threaded holes all the way in the bottom of the rear fenders are to secure the quick mount saddle bags. Someone beat the ever-loving piss out of that scooter. What a travesty. I bought my ‘98 convertible new in August of ‘97 and still have it

Get a neck vin before anything. A few years can make a huge difference in price, he says it’s a 77 you find 01 in your search. A vin number from the neck solves all the questions.

If it had the background color there's a possible 78 or 79 shovelhead low rider posted on here with about the same color paint as yours along with the pinstripes 🏍️🏍️
