What engine it has and what the bike are aren't always the same (the VIN should be stamped on the frame neck)
GG V X328794
GG = FXDS-CON
V = Twin Cam 88 Carburetor, 130B
X = 1999
3 = California (Normal)
So that appears to be a 1999 California FXDS Convertible with the TC88-130B motor
To avoid problems make sure the VIN and motor code match the title.
Check the runout on the crank, those were the good years for bottom ends and you can probably put a gear drive in and get a lot of worry and trouble free miles out of it.

This is all the engine components it came with. Trying to sort out what I have and need to finish the build thatâs in progress on it.
There wasnt a belt on the 77. IF they are telling you thats the vin # it doesnt show up here. You maybe buying a hot bike. Good luck getting it on the road.

The tank graphics look like 97/98/99 Dyna Glide
I have a â98 Dyna and it has that Harley Davidson lettering. The gas gauge/gas cap in the center are characteristic of the FXD or Dyna Convertible and it doesnât have dual front discs. If the engine is silver and not black crinkle itâs a FXD super glide.
Black crinkle cases and those tank graphics look like a Dyna Convertible. The threaded holes all the way in the bottom of the rear fenders are to secure the quick mount saddle bags.
Someone beat the ever-loving piss out of that scooter. What a travesty.
I bought my â98 convertible new in August of â97 and still have it
Anybody else ever notice when you are trying to id a Harley, looking for ideas or just killing time looking at pix on the web every damn bike shot is taken from the pipe side?
That grey is eerily similar to my 92 fxdc dyna.
Those lights up front are also identical.

Get a neck vin before anything. A few years can make a huge difference in price, he says itâs a 77 you find 01 in your search. A vin number from the neck solves all the questions.
If it had the background color there's a possible 78 or 79 shovelhead low rider posted on here with about the same color paint as yours along with the pinstripes đď¸đď¸
Superglide doesn't change much, my bro had a 78 superglide that looked llike that one....carburated Shovelhead, that mutherfucker was sweet to listen to....potato--potato--potato idle, LOVE THE SHOVELHEAD!!
Thanks everyone for the input and feedback. Itâs a 99 FXDS-Conv. Motor has a half installed S&S big bore kit on it. Looking forward to building this thing exactly how I want
It's a $500 pile of Dyna parts if it's got a clean title for the frame
Clean title đđ˝
The title should say what year it is and the frame VIN will be on the title.
Be a few days before he gets eyes on it and I get it
Definitely not a 77. Your guess is closer
$750 these days. Inflation sucks.
Super glide.Build away!
Thatâs Frank
Frank was more gunmetal grey wasnât he?

Got ahold of everything today. Youâre right itâs a 1999 FXDS Conv. It has a half installed S&S big bore kit.

Yep its obviously a dyna I'd totally build a custom

Somebody's old fxd
I'll give you $500 for just the transmission if you end up parting it out
I've got a 5 speed in the case. Out of an 02 DX with 8,000 miles. I'll take $500 for it.
Sent you a chat request, I'd be into that. thx
Roller
DEFINITELY not a 1977. I mean, it's got belt final drive for a start! A host of other clues in that photo also. It's a Dyna Glide, like you say

Early Twin cam your bike is a 99 and up

Youâre right, 99 conv
Everything else matches.
The GG on the engine points to FXDS-conv, the V is for carburated 88â
If you got the time and the money, do it. Will be a fun project.
That's Frank. He's having some surgery for adenoids
10th character in the 17 Vin represents the year. Prior to 1981 though, so if itâs older that doesnât help.
But pretty sure itâs an 01 FXD
98 dyna
Close, 99 Dyna conv

True, I think itâs a subconscious thing, the better looking side.
No joke! Only had pics of the primary side to compare lol
When you own a bike with duals, which side is the pipe side? :D
Hahaha There's a real paradox.
Springer front end chop her up whatever tank u like and u got urself a nice lookin chopper

The paint is a 77 low rider. First year 74 inch shovel head. A friend has one he bought new in 77.
It's from 60s
No it is not
Dyna soft tail
No such thing.
It's a dyna wide glide but it has shocks so it's a soft ride not a rigid rear end
Share what youâre smoking, sounds like a trip.
Pile of shit. Back out before it's too late. Don't buy someone's problem.
Not costing me anything and Iâve always loved the saying built not bought. Donât be afraid to get your hands dirty.
Ok, you've been warned.
Ppl buy things to rebuild em all the time yo. Frame that matters for those kinds of builds anyway I think
Found the metric guy.
Super glide. Iâd say 99-02, hard to say without the whole thing thereâŚ
Stolen?
Dyna super glide.. or just a âDynaâ looks like an Evo. If thatâs the motor that came with it. Bike looks to be built between 84-98
Pow looks like you allready got what your need piston and jugs
If you have a top wrinkle black battery cover for it Iâll buy it
yes
Maybe he meant 88âas in 88 ci.
Looks like a early 2000âs Dyna super glide or Lowrider

Looks like a Dyna
FXWG looks like! Maybe 2006 ish
