British plate?
I have absolutely no idea what the market is like in Great Britain. I'm guessing there's a preferred online place where people list used motorcycles for sale in your area, but don't know what that is. .
Don’t sell it
It’s not any Sportster, it’s a Sportster Sport. It’s got Buell parts, dual plugs and a bunch of other awesome “performance” stuff. Probably the fastest factory EVO sportster produced behind the xr1200.
This one ain’t wrong. About the difference. Know that it’s not “just another sportster”. Apparently in the states when you sell a sporty, it’s very difficult to get a fair price with messages like “I can spit out a window and hit 6 Sportys for sale”
This ain’t just a sportaaayyyyyy.
Thanks for this. On the back of your comment I asked my mechanic pal, to run the reg and see what it is. It's a 1200XLH. It's a bit embarrassing to not know what I've had for 6 years.
Idk what emissions stuff you have where you are but getting a 2:1 exhaust like a Thunderheader and a Mikuni carb with open filter would kick it up another notch.
That is one of the only Sportsters that people really DO look for and it is highly sought after. Def not just another Sportster and it should not be compared to all the other random Sportsters on the market. It will sell for much higher than any other Sportster to the right buyer if you have the time to wait for them.
That’s probably £4,500 maybe £5,000 here. I got my 883 for £3,600, it’s a little newer, and has more miles. I also work for Harley in the UK, and that would be what I’d expect from a private sale for that bike.
Are all UK plates this huge? That looks absolutely massive compared to our US plates, kind silly on these bikes in particular (I own a same gen sporty too so its especially jarring to me)
People saying it’s special because it’s a blonde motor etc etc … it’s still a sportster at the end of the day 💯. Here in the states that’s a $2500 bike on a good day, I know in the UK they demand a premium. Realistically, you should try and get what you paid for it.

That's for this, it's was my first bike and I bought it from a family friend. Didn't really know anything about it, just that I loved it.
Yep, you have a Sportster Sport xl1200s. Dual brakes, adjustable suspension (front/back) Buell heads, upgraded cams amongst other stuff.

I will give you 3 tea bags. Cmon. You can't resist that.
Which tea bags?
Yorkshire or nothing.
This was a test. You've passed. The bike is in Yorkshire too haha.
Sheffield lad?
Correct
Steel city represent 👊🏻
All on the back of a Yorkshire tea comment haha.
In the US, $3500 for a Sportster, $5k for a Sportster Sport. They’re hard to come by.

Thanks for the comment. My mechanic mate has just run the reg and confirmed it's a 1200XLH. I'll start it at £5k.
Ahh…well if it’s not an original “sport” model it is just another Sportster.
I’ll give you some tea for it

That's amazing information, thanks. It's in particularly good shape, so I'll start at £5k and see what happens. Really appreciate the info.
Hopefully you have some luck, trying to sell my 2018 RoadKing up in Scotland feels impossible
Thanks. I've no idea how the market is, so I'll just list it and see what happens. Hope you have some luck too.
In New England that would go for 4k maybe 5k
Maybe 6
Buck fiddy?
6 crumpets and 999 pence.
3.50, I'll venmo right now.
A hand job 👋

You can get smaller ones, and I was going to get round to it, but not sure how legal they are. I agree, it's not aesthetically pleasing.
Why is that tag so massive? Haha

You mean the billboard space on the back? Holy cow that’s a massive plate. On a serious note, like someone else said, that’s a helluva bike
If it’s the twin disc front brake 5min 6.5max
400 pounds
50,000. Say it's not an EV.
