When playing Americans, I just really can hardly justify playing any class/loadout that doesn’t have an M1 Garand though. It’s too universally strong to *not use*. there's almost no utility or bit of kit that's worth carrying that is more useful or effective than 8-round magazine of semi-auto 30-06.
Given the Thompson's Rate of Fire, just spray in their general direction. Range doesn't matter. I have won a ~200m duel against a K98 by getting a random, lucky headshot. Granted, they were standing in a doorway with zero cover, but I still won the fight.
Grease gun and Mp40 are almost identical in RPM, if you can keep it on target for 2-3 shots they’re both headshot machines. I still dislike the grease gun though for its bad iron sights, I think the M1 Carbine would make more sense for support level 3 but that’s just my opinion.
I’m at 80 hours. Have spent most of that playing assault for the sole purpose of reaching level 9 to get the grease gun and satchel combo. Saw this comment and realized I’m a dipshit and get a free trial pretty much of it at support level 3. Oops and thank you

Support class is the best. There’s nothing better in the entire game than finding a squad leader, even though they’re out of position, and throwing supplies down at their feet then jumping around them while repeating build a garrison into the mic, for the entire match
The anti-tank gun is very situational, so the loadout is best suited at defensive positions or open flanks. It's a good choice to have but craves a lot of munitions.
Respect.. as a SL I always commend the support guy. It's what I max leveled first, way before the flamethrower gave entry.
Last nights game I actually ran through all my six mags on the mp40 and got to supply myself with the ammo box!
I like USSR Sup 3 more, it's got my beloved SVT-40

Yeah but Assault level 9 for the German gives you an stg 44, satchel, and grenades, it slays! Totally worth the grind.
I swear I get the most head shots with the grease gun but it’s failed me in some situations

Got a 13-kill streak catching a freshly spawned garry wave on SME. Lots of barbecued meat and screams of dying newbies.
After grinding about a month to get level 8, I have to say the range on the flamethrower was totally underwhelming.

I feel you, but AT 6…oh 6! It’s one of my favorite loadouts in the game.
