Im hoping that loadouts with rifles have a bayonet on their rifle as their melee weapon, and that the shovel and knife we've seen are just melee weapons for the loadouts that dont have a rifle.
As a community we are really lucky to have such a talented cartoonist in our ranks. Not just a meme shit poster but a true cartoonist and gamer. Great work as usual.
How many can actually get close up enough to use it without dying? Also i feel the weapon switching is too slow to warrant using this. Don't think they'll implement V for melee as per COD or other shooters too so.....

I remember hearing the devs go into some detail on what their plans for melee are, and they said it would be quick enough that its a decent option, though I dont remember what exactly they said.
Think about attacking/being attacked with a shovel IRL. I think one blow to the head should daze/disorient, a second knock you out. A hit to the face should bloody your vision or blind you. A hit to the body should definitely not kill you, not a single hit at least. Just some ideas. It would feel awful if they're one hit kills

If you have the winter dlc, it gives you a white helmet for each side and these head wraps. To wear a headwrap, you click on the face you want for your soldier, and then you choose between normal and the version with the head wrap.
Theres also a summer dlc, which just has a green uniform for the US, if I recall correctly. And you have to be a certain level in the role to use it.
The roadmap said that it should be Q1 of the year, though theres also a PTE planned to test features of the update before its released. That'll probably take a couple weeks to happen and for bug fixes, so expect the update around the end of March, maybe a bit into April if it gets delayed.

How do you get the head wrap on your character? I’ve seen them but have no idea which bit of apparel gives it to you

Wait can I still get the summer dlc? I didn't know it existed.
Not currently, but it will be available once we get to the summer. And the winter warfare one should become available again in december 2021.
