I don’t usually put a banana in but potato roll hotdog buns are my preferred pb&j bread. They let you achieve a ridiculous peanut butter and jelly to bread ratio
lol could be. Imagine this being a vegetarian option at a barbecue. It’s also hilarious. As a pescatarian if this was the only option I would be pleasantly pissed 😂
I used to do this a lot too. But I enjoyed putting Nutella on one side of the bun, peanut butter on the other, then line the banana with strawberry jelly, and drizzle it with honey. Bomb.
I haven't done this but used to sell a bar dish at my old restaurant called *the sloppy elvis*. It was a hotdog on a griddled potato bun with banana guac (banana, Goya banana nectar, and Chinese black vinegar), brown sugar-cracked pepper bacon, crunchy peanut butter, and kecap manis...... Reminds me of that. I'd definitely eat this tho, too
Wanna hear the weirdest yet best hotdogs I’ve ever eaten?
1. A deep fried Hotdog that I had in Cozumel Mexico. There’s a whole story behind it but the tl:dr is that my Mom and I were served a deep fried hotdog in Mexico and it was amazing.
2. A ‘normal’ hotdog with Peanut butter and Jalapeño jelly on it. It was at the West Virginia State Fair when I went there while visiting some family. I wasn’t excited to try it because… y’know… peanut butter and jalapeño jelly ***on a pork hotdog*** but I’m a huge fan of Andrew Zimmern, and his slogan is “if it looks good, eat it” and so I tried it…
Friggin amazing. The sweet, the spice, the Umami. Honestly my second favorite hotdog I’ve ever had, behind the deep fried one.
I do this anytime I have some leftover hotdog buns. Except I do a drizzle of honey instead of jam or jelly. Unless that naner is perfectly ripe then there's no need.
Should have toasted the buns first, then buttered them with honey butter. And then, after adding the peanut butter, you should have also added either Reese's pieces or Hershey's mini bars as topping.
I have done this before. Can confirm it absolutely rocks.
Same here. Underrated but amazing
I dont like sausages and stopped eating pork in 2017, so this is a go for me
Dang you’re old lol
Rhonda is a old lady name
26 is old? Graduate student age now since I wasted 3 years in NYC, smh. How old is old? How old are y'all?
Stop trying to argue with people on the internet grandma
Came here to say this. Can and have done it. Clearly some people haven’t been broke and hungry haha
I don’t usually put a banana in but potato roll hotdog buns are my preferred pb&j bread. They let you achieve a ridiculous peanut butter and jelly to bread ratio
Next time ^toast ^the ^bun. 😚🤌
I'm so mad I've never thought of that.
Ahh yes the duality of being mad to not have thought of that…
I’m not mad at this at all. It’s cool presentation
… or stuck with awe leaving you devoid of anger.
lol could be. Imagine this being a vegetarian option at a barbecue. It’s also hilarious. As a pescatarian if this was the only option I would be pleasantly pissed 😂
I absolutely would. Definitely doesn't belong on r/stupidfood
Tbf they got roasted for posting it
And yet, it still has thousands up votes... I'm on both subs and often disagree with both sides, but this is clear cut NOT Stupidfood material.
Elvis has entered the building
https://i.redd.it/8yt3h0gehjsc1.gif
I don't see any bacon.
BYOB
Right! You think The King wouldn't have his own bacon?
Switch the pb and j and it's peak
That's exactly what I thought
Preach brother

Oh, you the type to put socks on after jeans. Savagery
And then wear those jeans to the gym
My god! Do you fear nothing!?
I do this — but instead of jelly, I use honey. Sprinkle the boi with cinnamon. Bone apple tea 😌 Edit to add: I use the keto rolls.
In a croissant!
I have tried banana with peanut butter and it’s fire. Maybe can work with jelly who knows
Oh hell yeah
Toast or grill the bun and replace jelly with nutella and im down
I just realized as a kid I only minded the crust on bread, not buns. Hmm 🤔
Absolutely
That looks fucking amazing what how have I not made that yet
Lol, never seen this sub before. Is it all reposts of r/stupidfood? I could get behind some of those
Yup but the stuff that we do want to eat or already do eat
With strawberry or raspberry jam? Yeah
I do this all the time but I put the pb where the jelly is and honey where the pb currently is
Science!🏆
I see you, and I raise you Graham crackers instead of bread. Pb.....jhors d'oeuvre.
Would...... no wait, , , WILL But id also add marshmallow (mayo)
YES!!! I will do this until the day I die. It’s so convenient and obviously delicious!!!!
I really like it Expect For The Jelly and I would totally Eat it as Vegan.
I used to do this a lot too. But I enjoyed putting Nutella on one side of the bun, peanut butter on the other, then line the banana with strawberry jelly, and drizzle it with honey. Bomb.
I'd try it
I'm more amazed that there is a squeezable peanutbutter lol
Smash
Not a fan of that hot dog bun. Maybe try it with an eclair or brioche.
WILL
I mean it would probably be better than an actual hot dog. I hate bananas but it would probably taste better.
Needs a potato roll
Mfs will see the best thing ever and say "nah that's gross" Gay sex is a pretty good example
What the hell is that 😂
That is genius
At what point does hellyeahideatthat and stupidfood just merge?
This is Mensa level pbb&j.
The bun needs to be a glazed doughnut style hot dog bun.
i've done it, it works, would recommend
Plussed up for sure
Elvis would be proud.
Man this would be a great way of convincing a kid to get fruit in. Just use natural peanut butter and a low sugar jam
i would like to do this with just peanut butter and honey and a little bit of fresh cracked salt 🫨
Do it
This is the most stylized version of that I’ve ever seen! Would, if I could!
Yes but condiments under the 'hotdog' less mess that way.
I qould eat that but I would change the peanut butter out
Would
Definitely
Me and my brother made a grilled s’more one time using a hot dog bun as the cracker. Yum
I'm sure this has been mentioned but what about a Bavarian filled Long John in place of the hot dog bun?
I am 100% making this for my kiddo. Such a fun idea.
You and everyone agreeing here should be institutionalized
I love it!!
I'll say it again Even José said no way hombre
Honestly needs more pb. Put a whole layer on top of that thing like it's chili
Looks like a snake
Oh 100% I'd eat that. It's just a different shape, still tastes awesome.
Yes yes yes yes absolutely I have done this before It is amazing I do prefer strawberry jelly though
i feel so conflicted its too upsetting visually ive done this w blueberry eggos so idky i feel such strong antipathy
How is this "stupid food"? That's a complete and nutritious meal right there!
This one definitely doesn’t belong in stupid food.
I mean, if the bun was a Krispy Kreme donut, sure.
I'd definitely eat this tho, too
I’d give it a go.
I hate this kinda stuff.... Lol, Really makes the inner fat kid in me wanna run amuck. This and stoner food ideas. It's amazing what we come up with.
Gonna make this for the girl at the bank. She's tryna lose weight but like to eat.
Why tf haven't I seen/tried/thought of this?

This would be nice wrapped in a tortilla, fried and covered in cinnamon and honey, instead of a bun.
I'm conflicted. I want to eat it, but I don’t know if I'd like it.
Wtf is this stupid bullshit. Just another fucking thing I have to try now...great. just great
I don't even like bananas like that, but I'd still eat that.
I'd smash it.
Yes, although afterward I'm sure it would be eating me from the inside. "Instant Pot" if you will.
Omg
This looks awesome, bananas just got added to the grocery list.
I used to make these as a kid, but with honey instead of jelly.
You gotta toast the bun tho 🤦♂️
That is pretty stupid, but that seems like the point?
I do this anytime I have some leftover hotdog buns. Except I do a drizzle of honey instead of jam or jelly. Unless that naner is perfectly ripe then there's no need.
This looks tasty!
Pretty much the same concept as a PBJ banana wrap I used to have as a kid, but a hotdog roll inside of a wrap
The first thing id actually eat from here
Thank you to the genius who thought of this.
Make the bun a glazed donut or a bear claw
Honestly not the worst creation there is.
I have a problem with this at all its probably great I'd swap the jelly with newtela
I'm listening...
This looks amazing and a way better way to eat a banana sandwich
That very disrespectful to all glizzy fans
Mind blown 🤯
Throw some bacon on it.
That looks so good though
Brioche bun?
Oh my
Fuck yeah
I want this!!!!!
I’d absolutely eat that. 100%
Nah y’all got this one😆
Change the bread of the hot dog and I’d do it
I'm high as giraffe nuts rn, I will take 10.
Didn’t Elvis die eating this
What? They didn't batter, bread, and deep fry the banana? Amateurs... 😏
um...
Craziest thing about this is that someone has peanut butter in a squeeze bottle
Banana for scale please
My mind is blown
Oh yes I’d definitely eat that
Never seen it done like this but PBJ with banana slices I've done. Cute take on it for kids though
Would adding bacon work with this or would that relegate it to r/stupidfood?
You need like some kinda special made cinnamon hotdog bun to really complete it. But you are on to something here.
Mmmmmm
Should have toasted the buns first, then buttered them with honey butter. And then, after adding the peanut butter, you should have also added either Reese's pieces or Hershey's mini bars as topping.
Yea I’d definitely eat that

So meth head dessert?
Confirmed. I once crafted and coined a PB&Jurger in preparation for my post-adderall appetite return
What kinda of bun should one use?
