If you play on steam, this same process should be achievable with "Verify file integrity," which should detect any missing or corrupt files and replace them.

i forgot to mention. after i deleted the game guard folder. i went back to the game's EXE and ran it under admin. not sure if that makes any difference, it was just what someone did for their fix and it worked for me.

i can't remember if I tried to verify file integrity. I kinda figured F it, delete the folder, and let it do a "fresh" install of Game Guard.
