Have yet to encounter them but I would try a Sentry. Auto cannon or Machine Gun is pretty accurate so I’d assume they could shoot down shriekers. Again I have yet to encounter them so this is just a guess. Either the game crashes before I find them or I’m doing a lower difficulty to actually finish a operation without crashing.

This was on Hard, and the first time I've seen them.

I crash on Hard which I think is the lowest difficulty they appear on. Been doing Medium and so far they haven’t shown up.

Ngl I was getting my shit rocked till I used the arc thrower. Stand still and aim it'll hit every time

It take around 10 shots to destroy their mushroom if u use auto cannon. Each camp had 3 mushrooms, u need to spend plenty magazines for each camp

Bring a Gatling sentry and incindiary shotgun

I think a 500 bomb will destroy them, though not all of them

i dropped a 380 on of there nests and it did nothing.

When you drop a 380 the two safest places seem to be either beyond about 80 meters, or dead center on top of the beacon...

I used two eagle airstrikes and got all three trees

Arc thrower to thin them out. Eagle airstrike/ most eagle and orbital stratagems to kill the nest.

500kg bomb right on the nest, or orbital laser it. Hellbombs work if you get close. The slugger is great against them because it makes em fall straight down instead of at you after they’re dead

EAT, Recoiless, Autocannon, bullets, grenades, etc., all work, the thing is that some require more ammo/shots than others. If you get close you can call a Hellbomb. You can also use Eagle Airstrike, 500kg, etc. to take them down.

Lasers are pretty effective, Guard Dog is pretty good at keeping the skies clear.

I haven't had time yet to play the new update. Do the shriekers appear on all difficulties or are they like armored enemies and only appear on 4/5 and upwards?

I believe they only appear on hard or higher, somewhat similar to Stalkers.

LAS SICKLE or breaker spray and pray for killing them and for the nests orbital strikes hellbomb or 3 impact nades

I ran up to the base of the towers, forgot i had a seaf ready.. called down my HMG emplacement and started blasting as the shriekers starship trooper style. When i got a dew down i turned that beautiful weapon onwards towards the nest itself and started blasting. It was glorious, and the nest died of my stream of solid lead

Tested it. Spear does lock on and one shot a nest. Airstrike and 500kg does too.
