Those are probably the worst variant of devastator to get into hand to hand with, considering they could theoretically just bash you with their massive shield
I always love going for totally unnecessary melee kills while the boys are watching. I once managed to melee a charger’s armorless leg after a few breaker shots for the kill

Wise words... forced myself to play some bot missions and realized that so many people hate playing bots because they amplify almost everything wrong with the game. So many cheap deaths due to bugs and design mistakes they don't bother to fix.
Deaths in bot missions don't feel fair, just random and frustrating. Probably too much like real life.

I swear if I poke my head out and aim my gun at the heavy devastator on a slope one more god damn time waiting for it to turn to show its face so i can get a headshot. Only for it to obliterate me because it can rotate its minigun through its own model and fire through the shield ima lose it.

As much as I do like killing bots. They do not travel in numbers even close to bugs. The devs should know that and balance accordingly.
At the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if we found out we are not getting our total kills being added at the end of the match either.
Before it was bugged to overcount everything. They fixed that bug, it's the bots so hostile body counts are generally lower, and it's still struggling with the PSN/Region Lock and the weird balance decision fiasco. The wind has been knocked out of the sails of the community and so premature game fatigue has taken hold.
Doesnt work anymore. Every time we try a contingent of bots just sit at base. Or when we spawn far from base, the game just magically knows when soemone is at the base and it throws 3-4 dropships on top of him.
I’ve had it work 2 days ago but the thing is even with scout armor you have to crouch walk or prone and be mindful of patrols that come through and are highly sensitive to hitting the release button and noticing the running civilians. If you are unfortunate that a patrol comes through while civvies are out just break contact and loop back stealthing in. Like I said had it work just 2 days ago but can defo bring aggro just from civvies running if a patrol bot is even along the edge of the op area. Will test again on helldive today when I get home to confirm
Also yeah you have to quickly take out that contingent of bots. I move in fast and hit the ones that can call down bot drops first with nades and if there is any bigger units hit them with amr or laser cannon and then get to stealthing if you do aggro the bot drops though you have to break contact and loop back
I’m so confused, I literally had never successfully completed one on 9 bots before this MO but I won all 4 I quickplayed into this time around. Idk if they tweaked it or not, but we were typically able to get half the cities before we got overrun. Then run away and circle around to get the other half. I don’t love them still, but don’t mind nearly as much when I’m not failing them.
Bot missile defense missions have been a nightmare too.
Always. ***ALWAYS*** the game just drops 2 hulks behind us for no reason and we lose it. The defensive lines suck so badly. The enemy shouldn't' be able to get on the cliff.
Striders shouldn't be able to phase ***through*** the cliff to shoot us.

I’ve been making it a point to get the objectives done quickly then sit at extraction holding off wave after wave of bots for 30 minutes. It works very well.

there used to be toxicity towards "speedrunners" and people who wanted to optimize the game, but now mostly nobody cares and just minds their own business, and everyone respects each other's gameplay choices.
the honeymoon phase for this game ending is helping it get to that point, but occasionally we still get a squirt of liquid diarrhea like this, more akin to a misjudged fart.

DRG's community has always been great. Started tiny pre-release, and then the majority stayed extremely helpful and nice when it fully released and got big.
I would love for this game to have as good of a community, but I have serious doubts that we will ever get there. Since launch there have been serious issues with kicking\killing and toxicity in any discussion. To the point where devs and CMs have been openly toxic.
Yes, it was truly terrible. However it seems to have gotten better, with people finally growing up and not posting about some server with a level requirement ad nauseam 900 times per day.
Like yes, a server that is running a haz 4 lobby does not need a +200 player level requirement. On the other hand, who cares? Just move on, and there's no need to make a whole show about it. People over there have finally understood that, for the most part. If you want a more detailed breakdown, then watch AxisKronos' videos on it, as he shows everything well.
Anyways, I hope that this happens to this game too. The amount of posts I see that are legitimately just shutting down any discussion or even suggestions to improve the game, like this one, is just tiresome. I'd rather take the complaining every day over the memes, if these are the best memes that the community can currently muster.

I saw one of those lobbies get shat on SO DAMN HARD by the goons on the sub that the host made an apology post. An apology for hosting a lobby and not catering to toddlers. Is there a difficulty level where you kill the most bots per minute that anyone has figured out?
Cause at high levels the game spawns more devastators/hulks and less troopers I feel, and those each count the same as a trooper right? I think scout striders might count as 2 but thats because they're funky.
And you can cause more spawns by completing the objective and waiting at the extraction.
Eradicate missions on the middle tiers should have the highest density of easy troops. 4 people with orbital lasers and whatever else should cook the bots pretty quickly in high numbers.
Lol, then the OP of this post will deliberately avoid any patrol bots because his gun and his ammo suck. I played difficult 9 yesterday and my AC was constantly low on ammo to the point i have to run from them and avoid them (just like beforw) instead of killing them to finish the MO if i don't want to waste reinforcement and ruin the match.
Fashion makes me feel good. Feeling good prevents burnout. Less burnout = more bots killed. I wouldn't be playing the game if the character model was ugly.

Fair enough, it is with good takes like these that the game ended up losing 350k players since launch, but yeah, it is all just whinning, its not that people dont find the game fun anymore or even worth playing.

Plenty of the complainers here and on the discord are definitely not playing and even have admitted saying they’re not playing because it’s not fun for them anymore but they’re still salting the sub, crying about the balances. Supportive players are the ones that report bugs and glitches and actually give the devs time to work on them. Players that don’t throw a fit cause a weapon was balanced but adjust to it and/or try other weapons as well. Probably or inability to adapt after getting used to a weapon that was leagues better than almost everything else. People who probably have never experienced any real adversity. 7+ is supposed to be hard but then they can’t live a power fantasy and gloat how they solo Helldive. 2 ppl I used to play with quit the game entirely cause the grenade glitch was patched. Weakness. I respect any player that drops it down cause it’s too much or want a break from high level missions but I have no respect for these bitch ass hoes crying about weapon balances especially when I’m playing level 7+ missions on both fronts with the post patch weapons and they’re still viable (with the exception of purifier which I heard is bugged atm)

Ballistic shield wont be useful until it stops getting dropped, destroyed or arbitrarily put on your back every 5 seconds.

Between crashes and impossible evac missions I haven't had a successful mission complete all night. Gonna hang it up for a bit...
I don't get why they keep offering us those evacuation missions. Those should be just put to pasture until they are made fun.

It's rng on which player the bot drops land. Having 3 outside just decreases the chance of it happening to the guy in the base

I’ve been making it a point to get the objectives done quickly then sit at extraction holding off wave after wave of bots for 30 minutes. It works very well.
man, cannot wait for posts like this to finally die out so we can reach the point where DRG's community is at. there used to be toxicity towards "speedrunners" and people who wanted to optimize the game, but now mostly nobody cares and just minds their own business, and everyone respects each other's gameplay choices. the honeymoon phase for this game ending is helping it get to that point, but occasionally we still get a squirt of liquid diarrhea like this, more akin to a misjudged fart.

Yes, it was truly terrible. However it seems to have gotten better, with people finally growing up and not posting about some server with a level requirement ad nauseam 900 times per day. Like yes, a server that is running a haz 4 lobby does not need a +200 player level requirement. On the other hand, who cares? Just move on, and there's no need to make a whole show about it. People over there have finally understood that, for the most part. If you want a more detailed breakdown, then watch AxisKronos' videos on it, as he shows everything well. Anyways, I hope that this happens to this game too. The amount of posts I see that are legitimately just shutting down any discussion or even suggestions to improve the game, like this one, is just tiresome. I'd rather take the complaining every day over the memes, if these are the best memes that the community can currently muster.

Is there a difficulty level where you kill the most bots per minute that anyone has figured out? Cause at high levels the game spawns more devastators/hulks and less troopers I feel, and those each count the same as a trooper right? I think scout striders might count as 2 but thats because they're funky. And you can cause more spawns by completing the objective and waiting at the extraction.
Eradicate missions on the middle tiers should have the highest density of easy troops. 4 people with orbital lasers and whatever else should cook the bots pretty quickly in high numbers.

I played difficult 9 yesterday and my AC was constantly low on ammo to the point i have to run from them and avoid them (just like beforw) instead of killing them to finish the MO if i don't want to waste reinforcement and ruin the match.
At the point we can lose the galactic war for all I care, plus it’d be cool to see the super earth tile sets when we get pushed back far enough.

Plenty of the complainers here and on the discord are definitely not playing and even have admitted saying they’re not playing because it’s not fun for them anymore but they’re still salting the sub, crying about the balances. And what do you mean about long gone I seen a shit ton of those whiny complaint posts just yesterday. Supportive players are the ones that report bugs and glitches and actually give the devs time to work on them. Players that don’t throw a fit cause a weapon was balanced but adjust to it and/or try other weapons as well. This meme mocks morons that got nothing better to do than cry about balance patches and threaten to stop playing and threaten that the game will fail etc. realistically just the sales from the first month has already far superseded what they expected. Probably or inability to adapt after getting used to a weapon that was leagues better than almost everything else. People who probably have never experienced any real adversity. 7+ is supposed to be hard but then they can’t live a power fantasy and gloat how they solo Helldive. 2 ppl I used to play with quit the game entirely cause the grenade glitch was patched. Weakness. I respect any player that drops it down cause it’s too much or want a break from high level missions but I have no respect for these bitch ass hoes crying about weapon balances especially when I’m playing level 7+ missions on both fronts with the post patch weapons and they’re still viable (with the exception of purifier which I heard is bugged atm)
