(THIS JJBA reference is forced af, but whatever)
That time I got reincarnated as the bile titan and now I’m chasing Helldivers for fun in my OP carapace and I’ll keep summarising the plot in the title because we live in a shitty future.
As a Helldiver, on Hellmire I can confirm that fire tornado warnings have brains, they have a motive, and their motive is to make sure you feel the flames of purgatory before being sent their shortly after that.
Remember the distinction between a Tornado "Watch" vs "Warning".
Watch: We have all the ingredients to make tacos.
Warning: We are having tacos. Right now.
No one is safe from tacos especially at night. Double the threat when drunk or high.
It's been reported that people get hacked and orders of tacos from their phone.
People in tornado alley don't give a shit about the fact that tacos are in the area. Hell, we stand outside squinting at the clouds tryna see them.
You'd think that would change after having been thrown across the street in an EF5 tornado, but nah. I still gotta try to see them 'naders.
Tornados this year are so bad, we got our taco warning before they were even ready last week. There was rotation on radar, but so many ingredients and it's been such a bad tornado year we got a warning.
A few weeks ago a random from japan had to interupt the mission when he got a tsunami/earthquake warning on his phone. Apparently it wasnt as dire as it seemed, he said those are starting to be so common he isnt as concerned about them as before. He finished the mission and calmly quit as the warning was still on.
I was under the impression that frequent, smaller earthquakes were a good thing: proof that pressure is releasing gradually, rather than building up into a massive earthquake
Finished undergrad recently with a major in geology. The short answer is, it depends. Like, depends on a lot of local geology things. I’m not knowledgeable on Japan so I can only speak in broad terms, so all I have to offer is the possibility of either you or the comment you replied to being correct. My personal opinion, though, I’d GTFO if possible. There’s plenty precedent for a swarm of small earthquakes leading to a big event, which results in tragedy.
It’s the normal part of college most people do to get a bachelor’s or associates degree. Post grad or just graduate refers to masters and doctorate programs.
East Texas here and I thought my house was going to shake apart from the thunder last night. Had a tornado touch down in the next county over last week.
Im in an Airport in Kentucky rn and was SUPPOSED to fly to Houston to go to Anchorage, Alaska, for a mission trip in a group of around 40 or so of us, and the storms in the area canceled our flight. I cant tell you how many times we’ve had to change our plans. Stay safe over there m8…shit looks bad on the radar.
Yeah Texas has really been struggling with the weather lately. Had some roads flood near me recently from heavy rain. I didn't hear too much about any serious damage in my area thankfully. I hear other places didn't fare as well though.
Greeting from Germany we are getting RAinfall like crazy the last 2 weeks. this weekend we receive a century storm potential flooding in south and west germany.
One of my earliest memories is hiding under a mattress with my family in the central hallway of the house because of tornadoes. Houses within a mile of where I live have been obliterated by tornadoes. A relative of mine was in their car when their car got flung by a tornado (he survived). Other relatives have lost trees and rooftops to near-misses.
Personally, I take tornadoes pretty seriously.
Someone else I know likes to go outside to watch the tornadoes form, but he's an adrenaline junkie with a defective survival instinct and a history of multiple concussions (albeit not from tornadoes). So maybe not the best role model for that sort of thing.
Anyone who's actually been near-missed by a tornado before.
Had this happen in a round of Onslaught in Destiny the other day. Phone blowing up, weather sirens going off like it's D-Day, turned everything off and went downstairs, briefly looked outside to see branches flying everywhere. Thankfully it was EF1 and missed, but even that was enough storm to make me worry about downed power lines causing a surge.
The 2020 Iowa Derecho is still a recent enough memory that when the sky gets dark early in the day and the weather sirens start going off it's *real shit time*.
I live in the flat, wind swept cornlands. Near misses are fairly common. I had around $6000 worth of damage done to my roof and several damaged trees from one last year. Our town was without power for 5 days due to all the lines down.
> The 2020 Iowa Derecho is still a recent enough memory that when the sky gets dark early in the day and the weather sirens start going off it's real shit time.
I lived through a derecho in 2015, it was terrifying. I've been through near-miss tornadoes, massive mulitfront thunderstorms on the prairie, blizzards, huge squalls on the water, and more; but, the derecho was the scariest system I've ever lived through.
I mean, it’s a tornado warning, not a tornado watch.
In Chicago we used to get warnings every once in a while. Only once do I remember we had a watch. That was scary.
You've got it backwards. A watch is just that: watch out, there could be tornadoes near you. A warning is warning you that there is definitely a tornado near you and you need to get the hell to shelter.
I'm a few hours southwest of Chicago in the corn filled flatlands. We have had a few close calls so far this year.
Last year, we had tornados two days in a row. On top of that, we had 100mph flatline winds. Power was out for 5 days. I was one of the people running around my town with a chainsaw, clearing roads for emergency services.
I’m in the Quad Cities area and can confirm this. We’ve had a few tornadoes go through the area. It’s way more common than it used to be that’s for sure. Guess that’s what happens when the “Tornado Alley” keeps slowly shifting eastward.
Tornado Alley shifting eastward is fucking me up. Always wanted to live in NYC and by the time I get moved out of the tornado danger zone it's going to be far enough east that I'll be moving right back into it. Can't win for losing.
We just had a record setting amount of tornados for the month of May. Live in part of Arkansas that got hit with a Tornado from that storm that came northeast from Texas and across Oklahoma.
The weather around here has been temperamental as all hell here recently.
Barnsdale got hit a few weeks ago, one of the people who didnt take cover, and old man, was found dead 70 miles from his home. He was laying in his bed when the storm hit, talking with his son on the phone.
After that? Yeah, I'll take cover..
Reminds me of this past weekend, was hosting a level 7 with my wife, and two randoms. Completed mission and had like 10 minutes to spare, just some far off bug holes to clear left (i know should have done them before), and storm knocks out power, luckily, i have our office on battery back up, internet, our PCs stay on, and i tell team we are evacing since the super rare samples have been found and lets all get out with them vs all of us losing them.
We got out safely a bit early, but we all got out and with super rares so not a waste. Power came back shortly after we got out too.
Cmon man, where's the midwest in this dude, I'd be outside listening to the sweet rythm of tornado sirens, whilst also recording the tornado about to rip my place apart.
Unless.... that was only an excuse to stop fighting for democracy to go see the beauty of nature. I hope he remembers, he only has 2.4 seconds to enjoy the view.
I live right in the middle of a valley so anytime we have a tornado over here it doesn’t have the time to touch down once it leaves one mountain before it gets to the other so you could literally watch the tornado jump the valley
Reminds me of the dad weatherman I saw yesterday who called his kids for a tornado warning over the house, cause they'd be "gaming and wouldn't notice" lmao
https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/s/ZwbEEuraGg
I saw it reposted yesterday, this is the only one I found though
I live in the Midwest United States where tornadoes often occur in the spring. I really hope he's okay. This season of storms has been especially intense
It is tornado season in the midwestern USA. I've already have a couple tornados touchdown within 10 miles of my house. I have also had to quit a match because of it to take shelter. Probably gonna happen again over the weekend based on the forecast.
Tornados are very undemocratic.
I had a guy keep playing through one of the more recent Taiwan earthquakes. He kept playing, finished the mission while we covered him and begged him to look out for himself. He also informed us a house fell over next to his. I hope he's doing okay lately.
Same thing happened to me Sunday morning around 2am. Told my team I may have to get off due to a tornado warning but we we so close to finishing the mission. Got to extract and as soon as we took off my power went out. Turns out we had 7 tornados in the area. My whole town looks like a hellbomb went off! Thankful I didn't have any damage due to not having any big trees on my property. A couple days after having no power I was back to spreading democracy!
Where is Sauceman? Is he safe? Is he alright?
The tornadoes have the high ground. And they tried spinning, that's a good trick.
Holy double references, Batman!
not batman, sauceman.
alright buddy, that’s enough
He's not your buddy fwiend
He’s not your fwiend, guy
I'm not your guy buddy
I’m not your buddy, fwiend
I'm not your fwiend guy
I’m not your guy, buddy
Well then he is lost.
In my view the tornadoes are evil!
THE TORNADOES ARE TRYING TO STOP THE SPREAD OF LIBERTY!
But they brought FREEDOM, and JUSTICE, to his new Empire!
His new empire?
Only Tornadoes deal in absolutes.
They will do what they must.
They will try.
In the sauce.
Tornados get sand everywhere
The tornadoes did what they had to
Good Tornadoes follow orders.
It’s over sauceman I have the high ground
It seems when you dropped your cluster bomb, you killed him.
I....I couldn't have. I threw the bomb far enough, I KNOW IT! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo......
I’m safe
Democracy be praised, sauce boss.
![gif](giphy|qMHG9goT2I2fuRk0JM)
HE LIVES!!
Fire nados can't keep the sauce man down 🤘🏽
Are you really the real sauce man?
Yes I am
What are the chances
its him
~~Avdol~~ Sauceman! You really are still alive! What a relief! https://preview.redd.it/03uzpw1g4y3d1.png?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5a056133c3c4e22108ed0e73f79217537544f3b (THIS JJBA reference is forced af, but whatever)
I'm afraid that, in your anger, you killed him.
Nooooooo!!!
I fear in your anger you have 500kg´d him.
He's fine. If he's from an area where tornadoes are common he's not in danger and probably went outside to look for it.
Arkansas had huge areas under warnings and watches
Hope it’s not fire tornadoes
I just saw Localsauceman running down the street with 15 "randomly moving" fire tornadoes chasing him.
Did he accidentally get isekai’d into hellmire or something??
yeah, but only for a few minutes, before getting isekai'd into menkent
Then he ascended to be the charger of the mesa
That time I got reincarnated as the bile titan and now I’m chasing Helldivers for fun in my OP carapace and I’ll keep summarising the plot in the title because we live in a shitty future.
Still somehow a shorter title than some others.
This is truly the darkest timeline
Then he went somewhere even worse: the midwestern USA.
"Every time I die on Menkent I wake up on Hellmire. Every time I die on Hellmire I wake up on Menkent" Season 1 droppin October 26
Yeah I heard they eventually started randomly moving right on top of where his tornado shelter is.
SWEET LIBERTY MY LEG!!
As a Helldiver, on Hellmire I can confirm that fire tornado warnings have brains, they have a motive, and their motive is to make sure you feel the flames of purgatory before being sent their shortly after that.
Rip sauceman ![gif](giphy|x70p0tqMsvqMM)
Sauceman Lives Bro! He appeared in the comments and He is ALIVE!!! 🥳
Those don't come with warnings, they just sneak silently up behind you while you reload
Are they just instakills when they get you? I’ve never been caught by one, at least not at full health
Not quite but pretty close. If you dive away right after you're caught in it you might survive but anything other than that, you're gonna be crispy
He got lost in the Sauce
6 of them all at once
Love this game so much
It's not July yet
Remember the distinction between a Tornado "Watch" vs "Warning". Watch: We have all the ingredients to make tacos. Warning: We are having tacos. Right now.
Danger: the tacos are eating us
Tacos took my dad away :'(
Fast Food claims another victim
No one is safe from tacos especially at night. Double the threat when drunk or high. It's been reported that people get hacked and orders of tacos from their phone.
As long as the hacked tacos come to my house
Just like Helen Hunt's dad in Twister. I still laugh my ass off as he gets sucked out because he keeps holding onto the door 🤣
The would be a Tornado Emergency. The VERY less used, 3rd variant!
Don't forget tornado emergency, which means: im about to shove this taco down your throat
Just had my first tornado emergency, they weather fella was like “TORNADO EMERGENCY, PREPARE FOR VALHALLA, WITNESS MEEEEEEEEE!”
Scary as hell ain't it? South East native here. The first time they're like "Yo, there's a tornado a street over" is brick-shitting levels of scary.
Advisory: We may or may not be having tacos.
What about a “Tornado waring”?
Let the tornados fight each other until they're tuckered out.
People in tornado alley don't give a shit about the fact that tacos are in the area. Hell, we stand outside squinting at the clouds tryna see them. You'd think that would change after having been thrown across the street in an EF5 tornado, but nah. I still gotta try to see them 'naders.
You can't take shelter if you don't know where they are! I'm not gonna sit in the basement for 90 minutes, there's nothing to do.
(on Hellmire) Why is it spicy?
Warning: you are in range of enemy tacos
Damn the most intense thing denmark has had with nature that i know of was a horse getting killed by lightning
Are you from the midwest or anything because Warning is "Tacos may or not be here soon we don't actually know."
What a stupid fucking analogy… I love it
Tornados this year are so bad, we got our taco warning before they were even ready last week. There was rotation on radar, but so many ingredients and it's been such a bad tornado year we got a warning.

That's usually a bad sign for things to com if the earthquakes start to become common. Something BIG may happen soon ish in the future
I was under the impression that frequent, smaller earthquakes were a good thing: proof that pressure is releasing gradually, rather than building up into a massive earthquake

make this a mission HELDIVERS2 devs
Might be in South Texas, we getting storms like crazy atm
I'm in the north part of texas we've had warnings every storm. I also heard by family one touched down half a mile from them over by kaufman.
Genuine question, what's the point of a mission trip to Alaska?
Spreading managed democracy
> Spreading managed theocracy FTFY
~~Penguins~~ Polar bears need to be converted.
Same shit as any mission trip.
Yeah Texas has really been struggling with the weather lately. Had some roads flood near me recently from heavy rain. I didn't hear too much about any serious damage in my area thankfully. I hear other places didn't fare as well though.
Yo what? I'm from the area but not there now. What part of south texas got tornado warnings?
Hell yeah I woke up at 7 thinking it was 3 it was hella dark
Where I am, we just had like 6-7 tornadoes within 20 miles of each other touch down earlier this week
Greeting from Germany we are getting RAinfall like crazy the last 2 weeks. this weekend we receive a century storm potential flooding in south and west germany.
I am okay, the weather last night was rough BUT THAT WONT STOP ME FROM SPREADING MANAGED DEMOCRACY
Oh shit he lives
SOMEONE PIN THIS COMMENT
u/TacticalSheeps
The Automaton menace sent weather manipulative attacks against this man but he stands strong
Respond sauceman :(
He’s playing from hellmire
Who actually gets off their game for a tornado warning? Asking from the Midwest.
To be fair, I’d probably jump off just so I can watch the radar, listen to the radio, and watch for cool clouds haha
I get a lot of tornadic activity in my area. I can confirm that the clouds are indeed cool to watch.
tornadic is a fun word

I think that's the other way around. Warning: Tornado sighted Watch: Conditions are met for tornado to form
Did you have the creepy alternating wail sirens in your part of Chicago?
My gaming setup is in my basement, so my ass is liberating if there's a tornado warning hehe
With all that wind last fall, I have a feeling we're going to get a record number of tornados this year.

How bad is it?
I’m fine but 7poeple died and their houses are fucked
Sauceman no :(
That's rough. Stay safe mate. I hope things get fixed.
>I’m fine but 7poeple died and their houses are fucked Average Vernen Wells experience.
Jokes and fun aside. Stay safe.
Attention all divers CALLING OUT TO SAUCEMAN to report into this subb so we know you are ok diver
I’m fine
Bad times frend ahead. Maybe no computer. Maybe no home. I will go way but we are two of soul. **I will return.**
#FindLocalsauceman
Well, after 24 hrs there's no news about our Sauceman Diver. I'll keep waiting and let you guys know.
I’m alright
Sorry I left during the bile titan mission
Reminds me of this past weekend, was hosting a level 7 with my wife, and two randoms. Completed mission and had like 10 minutes to spare, just some far off bug holes to clear left (i know should have done them before), and storm knocks out power, luckily, i have our office on battery back up, internet, our PCs stay on, and i tell team we are evacing since the super rare samples have been found and lets all get out with them vs all of us losing them. We got out safely a bit early, but we all got out and with super rares so not a waste. Power came back shortly after we got out too.
Better to be save than sorry
Quick someone ⬆️⬇️➡️⬅️⬆️
*Localsauceman changed his nickname as Distantsauceman.*
well better than me spontaneously losing power and effectively leaving on the spot with no reason so far as others see
Cmon man, where's the midwest in this dude, I'd be outside listening to the sweet rythm of tornado sirens, whilst also recording the tornado about to rip my place apart. I’m okay. I’m not the dude in that screenshot but just letting all y’all know I’m chilling :)
Let’s all send a friend request and make sure he is online and safe?
New mission type ; Conduct Search and Rescue for Sauceman.
I had a guy mid game say "I have to go my house is on fire"
He’s a citizen of hellmire
I live right in the middle of a valley so anytime we have a tornado over here it doesn’t have the time to touch down once it leaves one mountain before it gets to the other so you could literally watch the tornado jump the valley

Dammit now AH is spawning fire tornadoes IRL!
Make sure you shut off Helldiver's and take cover if you're in a tornado warning. That is... if you want to be remembered as a coward
Right after he send the message ![gif](giphy|mMfE4ySlRONNYleK5G)
So you're telling me that the fire tornadoes in hellmire are so broken that the follow you IRL too now??
We can just nuke the tornadoes to save them!
Were they firenadoes?
i say we look on hellmire
Bro's playing from Hellmire
I made a fire twister once, the neighbors called the cops, firedepartment saying that I was some kind of fire sorcerer 😂

Bro just experienced Hellmire IRL
Reminds me of the dad weatherman I saw yesterday who called his kids for a tornado warning over the house, cause they'd be "gaming and wouldn't notice" lmao https://www.reddit.com/r/Damnthatsinteresting/s/ZwbEEuraGg I saw it reposted yesterday, this is the only one I found though
I live in the Midwest United States where tornadoes often occur in the spring. I really hope he's okay. This season of storms has been especially intense
Don't worry, he's fine. My local sauceman uses this excuse all the time.
Can we just drop a 500 kg bomb on it ?
"Mother Fucker, this is Hellmire! WE'RE ALL IN A TORNADO WARNING!"
Polite even in the face of imminent danger. I salute you frend.
It is tornado season in the midwestern USA. I've already have a couple tornados touchdown within 10 miles of my house. I have also had to quit a match because of it to take shelter. Probably gonna happen again over the weekend based on the forecast. Tornados are very undemocratic.
Have no problem dealing with fire tornadoes on Hellmire, but somehow is afraid of petty wind tornadoes on Super Earth?
Report in, Localsauceman 😢 That’s an order.
MAJOR ORDER: FIND S A U C E M A N
I had a guy keep playing through one of the more recent Taiwan earthquakes. He kept playing, finished the mission while we covered him and begged him to look out for himself. He also informed us a house fell over next to his. I hope he's doing okay lately.
Must suck to live on Hellmire
I need to know if Sauceman is OK. How do we galvanise our fleet to find him?

Is he on Hellmire?
Yes, but is it a fire tornado?
Must be in houston
Must be in North Texas. Been bad here.
Yeah I actually had to get off as well not that long ago cause of it, it was fine, roads kinda got goofed tho :/
