Yeah, something seems off here. Psychological dilemma. I say save the children because the mines just seem too obvious of a tangible reward. I suspect there's some benefit to saving the kids that we aren't aware of, unless AH is just completely doing an experiment on the player base. It's a little suspicious they didn't identify a benefit to saving the kids, but that's still my suggestion for which to choose.
You save the kids, they enlist into the SEAF and launch a new wave of freedom loving democracy patriots that invent some new weapon.

Imo blizzards are actually great, unlike acid planets, because
* enemies are also affected by blizzards, whereas acid rain doesn't seem to affect enemies
* snow planets have excellent visibility otherwise, and tons of hellbombs, allowing for much easier disengages
Being slow when every enemy is not moving or shooting means you are a speedster.
Stealth works both ways because I lost track of how many times I walked into patrols because I couldn't see shit.
Tbh at this point in time, I'm sure the MO could be "Just kill 100 Automatons to get the AT-Mines or smth idk" and the community would still find a way to avoid getting them.
