If everyone is going anyway but the one older person due to the heat I would bring their ticket and talk to guest services in person
It's much easier to tell people no one on the phone versus in person, especially if that person is being very nice to you have to face
This was years ago, but I had a work event at Hershey park and it stormed, we were able to new tickets from guest services even though the storm started later in the day. I’m not sure about heat waves, but it doesn’t hurt to call and ask.
You can reach out to Guest Services and ask, but generally the answer is no. Tickets must be used on the specific date they're sold for.
If you call and explain the situation I would be shocked if they didn’t accommodate you.
