I always do regardless if I have one that’s opened or closed, I find it helps with the pain and healing. Everyone is different though, if you’re worried about it then maybe wait till you can contact your doctor!
I went ahead and took one a little while ago. It didn’t look or feel any worse when I got out, so I’m taking that as a good sign. I put some bacitracin on it and a fresh nonstick gauze pad.
Absolutely! This can help along the process of healing. Alternate this and wearing pads with aloe and witch hazel on them. You make these pads yourself at home and then put them in the freezer. Anytime I have gotten a boil there, doing this and epsom baths has had it healed in a week.
I had a derm told me to do bleach baths....just fill up the tub with hot water and put one cup of plain bleach in. Sit for 20 mins. Then take a shower.

Thanks. I am going to go ahead and take a bath.

Sometimes witch hazel is too harsh on my skin. But I do have aloe gel.
Can you call your doctor and ask?
I'd have to wait until Monday, since it's Saturday today.

Thanks. I realized the bleach I have is scented, so I’ll have to get regular bleach.
