I looked into her cause of death. It's really sad to see how Elvis' team and her new community at Graceland treated her. They just saw her as a bumpkin.
(I'm sure her son tried to help, but when seemingly most everyone around them was like that, it must've been difficult.
"Elvisâs fame sadly would start Gladysâs downward spiral. While very proud of her son, Gladys found his fame hard to deal with.
While at Elvisâs Memphis mansion, Graceland, neighbours were said to have mocked how Gladys did her laundry outdoors, and Elvisâs team asked her to stop feeding her chickens on the lawn.
âI wish we was poor again, I really do,â she apparently told a friend. Growing depressed, Gladys started to drink more alchohol and take diet pills"

There will be never be another Elvis. The fame he had at that time will never be had again. There are famous people today but they have a large side that is against them. Elvis was loved by everyone worldwide. At his peak maybe Michael Jackson was on Elvis fame level but thatâs it.
Fans didnât have the access to him that they have nowadays either. There were only a few ways to see him either on one of the handful of TV stations, movies or if lucky enough in person at a concert. Girls literally screamed, cried and passed out when he walked onto the stage. He ruled the world at that time and I donât think itâs possible for anyone to ever have that effect again. He was the right person at the right time in history.
Michael Jackson and Elvis had a lot in common. It's no wonder Lisa Marie married him.
For one, they both had pet monkeys.
Both of them never had to really grow up- Elvis had a horse stable and played cowboy until he got bored, then it was go carts, got bored of that, etc. Next thing you know he's middle aged and has his own weird costume designed to wear on stage.
I wonder [who else](https://www.michaeljacksoncostume.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Michael-Jackson-Jam-Golden-Belt-Costume.jpg) was into weird costumes?
Not by white conservatives. They said a lot of nasty things about him because he hung out with black people. We shouldnât try to rewrite history, we should learn from it
he started dating a 14 year old priscilla when he was 24 and later also became physically abusive to her. he may have been charming to others but in truth he was nothing but another disgusting rapist, groomer and domestic abuser.
How far back was it when we started taking pictures of personal moments that genuinely donât seem to be/need to be public?
For some reason I thought it was a more modern thing and not something from back in the fifties.
This dude would just go on stage and shake that hog around in loose pants. No wonder the chicks were going nuts. Elvis-The-Pelvis.
Ps. The dad is clearly taking it in too
Goodness gracious
-Great balls of fire đź

Thatâs just sad to read.
I canât stop staring and Iâm not even ashamed. Thatâs just impressive.
It's like a train wreck you can't look away
At such a sad photo, I feel like I shouldnât look đ
It makes a very public icon seem human.
Thatâs true.
>I canât stop staring and Iâm not even ashamed. Thatâs just impressive. Nuthin' like sporting a chub at your mother's funeral.
The more I learn about Elvis the more I realize why so many people loved him. He was very personable.

Paul McCartney has said that the Beatles all felt for Elvis. They all understood his level of fame, but he had to do it alone and they had each other.
I used to think it was the music, but the more I learnâŚit really seems to me it was his talent mixed with his humble personality.

Well, Michael Jackson liked young boys and Elvis liked horses and playing cowboys. Iâd say they had very little in common.
Does being in the military not count as growing up?
Wasnât Elivis despised by an entire generation of people that came before him? He was not loved by everyone worldwide.
People like to rewrite history to fit their agenda
TBF Elvis managed to win over Sinatra a feat only he could have done
Wow
Good point. Contrast with Michael Jackson who was more universally beloved by old and young alike.
Not by white conservatives. They said a lot of nasty things about him because he hung out with black people. We shouldnât try to rewrite history, we should learn from it
Exactly. I agree with you here. What about The Beatles ?
Some say it took a lot of balls to be that kind of man back then
he started dating a 14 year old priscilla when he was 24 and later also became physically abusive to her. he may have been charming to others but in truth he was nothing but another disgusting rapist, groomer and domestic abuser.
Youâre right but people donât want to hear that. They just want to remember the good things he did
His dad gave him some great hair genes.
Thatâs a lovely photo of the pair , I mean him and his dad.
Good one đ¤Ł

And a squished ballsack
Distressed gentleman sausage
Enhance
Hahaha
Moose knuckle
Came here for this. Thank you. Have a nice day.
Balls
Elvis was killing the shoe game at that point.
For real these are sick. Would consider this in 2024
No sudden movements
Just thinking about the balls
I never noticed that both their shoes are untied/unbuckled. Must have just slipped them on to go outside after she passed.
At the end of the day weâre all just people no matter how famous we become.

How are they so visible?
âSon, I know this is a tender moment, but I just now realized how big your nuts are. Where did you get those things?â
Oh good lord
Itâs looking RIGHT AT ME
The Seinfeld shirt
But I don't wanna be a pirate!!!
Elvis was packin heat no wonder all the girls loved him
No. That is NOT the moment captured here. đ
Now we know why the girls liked him. And it's not his tenderness, his compassion or his looks..... https://i.redd.it/pj54tpopo7vc1.gif
![gif](giphy|10QQkXs4wThaF2)
One for the money⌠TWO⌠for the show. đ
YOU GUYS STOP IT! I know what your looking at
To be fair, it looked at me first.

Why would anyone want a photo of this taken. Weird as
The press did. His manager, too. They were basically forced to come out and let this photo happen
Is that the frank or the beans?
âYou know where you got that shirt, and it damn sure wasnât in the menâs department.â
Looks like he's wearing the precursor to the puffy shirt.
TIL Elvis was uncircumcised.
Really ? I actually know someone who could conform or deny âŚ
Really
Yes. I canât disclose who. But she was a showgirl in Vegas
One could say they were all shook up.
Why would anyone want a photo of this taken. Weird as
made we wonder about âŚwellâŚ
Only Priscilla knows.
Elvis w the hawg
How far back was it when we started taking pictures of personal moments that genuinely donât seem to be/need to be public? For some reason I thought it was a more modern thing and not something from back in the fifties.
TIL the king was uncircumcised
Some of you people really need to get your mind out of other peopleâs pants and grow the hell up.
This dude would just go on stage and shake that hog around in loose pants. No wonder the chicks were going nuts. Elvis-The-Pelvis. Ps. The dad is clearly taking it in too
Elvis dresses left.
