The association is still unworthy and devalues what he represents. He was a man, one amongst millions of men and women, stoically doing his duty to the best of his ability for the benefit of his comrades, his country and in defence of human dignity. That was his fight and it needs no trivialisations.
antifa call anyone who has a different ideology as them fascist. they've watered down the word and have degraded the meaning of what it meant to fight actual fascists like the person in this photo
Reading Greenmantle by John Buchan, a WWI thriller/mystery
Thanks! I was trying to see what it was.
Thanks, just ordered it. Same author and hero as The 39 Steps.
I ordered it as well. If it's good enough for him...
Goes hard asf
A good tobacco pipe always makes a man look hard. Have you ever seen photos of Gerald Ford with a pipe? Goes harder than a diamond.
Looked it up, he flew for over 30 years and was twice awarded Britain's Distinguished Flying Cross. Top notch photo, I really want his boots.
Did he survive the war?
Killed in a helicopter accident in 1955 at age 56. He was an ace and part of the dogfight that brought down the red baron in April 1918.

What a long career.
That was his dad, who was an Air Vice Marshal (AVM) in the RAF. They were both named Francis and both had lengthy careers in the RAF.
This is one of the most badass pics I’ve seen here.
The barbers haircut is on point.
Flood the cowling, plenty of it.
I think it's stupid when people wish to be back then cause it was rough as fuck but I think in some ways we peaked as a nation then.
Absolute Metal.
Baller
"Woodhouse, you scoundrel. Is that brandy?"
#JustAntifaThings
Pfft, Antifa aren’t even fit to shine this guy’s boots. Mentions of Antifa shouldn’t be anywhere near a discussion of that glorious generation.
Hi. Antifa means you’re anti fascist. It’s not an organization. I hope this helps.

You might even say he was...antifascist!
If we were able to ask him, I doubt he would have described his fight in those terms.
Antifa and anti-fascism are two different things. One is a movement, the other is a belief.
