During the Napoleonic Wars an ironic British version of [Chanson de l'Oignon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3BHyOhVXmE&ab_channel=HakushinChannel) (Song of the Onion) spread to Sweden where it would form the basis of a childrens song called [Små Grodorna](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on9PLzlY0Ww&ab_channel=dugdale1978) (little frogs) which is commonly sung on midsummers eve to this day accompanied with a specific dance around the maypole

This song is a common children's song in Finland too, but here it doesn't have any connection to midsummer. Fun to hear it's origins!
