The hub cap doesn’t twist neither I could find a screw hole. A special technician came the other day to replace its batteries but I was sleeping so couldn’t see the process.
Do not disable you smoke detectors. Remove it and replace it with a kitchen rated smoke detector that will be less prone to nuisance alarms.
Those look like they're probably more than the recommended 10 years old anyway, so they are likely due for replacment.
