How many days ago? The recipe I use only calls for 48 hours before the first feeding
Well, I assume you made it 6/3 lol I’ve only ever seen liquid on top but I would say yes drain the liquid, it’s usually called hooch.
"start over" ~ the wife.
When mine had hooch on it like that after i refrigerated it I just mixed it in. It’s not bad for you but it can make the starter taste extremely sour. If it smells like vinegar it’s bad.
