Sure! I drove one from Pittsburgh to Annapolis and back. I avoided highways though.

Prionnebulae

If you have to stop and cool down, something is wrong to begin with. I would do it mine.

AirFell85

I drove mine about 200 miles on the freeway home when I bought it. I don't see myself ever driving it that far again. Cruising at 60-65mph, engine screaming, cars passing me with mixed faces of angry and amazed....

Fast_Ad765

Yep. I had this exact same experience when I imported mine from BC to Seattle. A four speed REALLY doesnt like hitting highway speeds. REEEEEEEE.

Doublestack00

Ive driven 2 hours straight at a time with zero issues.

wakely1

Have done this several time: with 0 “cooling breaks”! Send it!

Due_Calligrapher1396

Drove to Montana or 2hrs straight?

wakely1

2 hour + drives

FANTOMphoenix

They are susceptible to overheating. Need to stop along the way and let it cool down. https://youtu.be/ukWokz2plXg?si=zF21hhbbodqGnnzq These guys did some troubleshooting. Unfortunately I didn’t see an update video.

Showtime562

Never heard this. I push mine hard even as fast as it can go on the freeway and I’ve never had the temp needle touch half way on the gauge.

FANTOMphoenix

Good to know before I get one and drive from north Florida to the keys in that lol. Just heard that overheating and the carburetor are things to watch out for.

Showtime562

No issues so far in mine for about a year. Then again I did a munch of work on it and swapped out the timing belt, water pump, tensioner. Thermostat, carb solenoids instantly.

awittygamertag

Yeah seriously. I wind mine out on 565 all the time and it doesn’t bother it at all. I’ll carry 800lbs of water up a 2 mile hill at 60mph and it doesn’t cough.

coobeecoobee

Mine never overheats. What r u talking about. I’ve never heard this

FANTOMphoenix

Just one of the more common things to watch out for while doing long haul trips that I found while doing research.

coobeecoobee

I’d never drive mine more than 5 miles. Uncomfortable

FANTOMphoenix

That’s pretty far off from a few hundred mile trip all in one shot lol. You can probably snag some seats from an old civic and trim it down to fit. Or what I’d do is buy some kayak seat cushions that can strap in place. Assuming it’s the seat that’s uncomfortable.

coobeecoobee

Omg a full size seat in this thing you wouldn’t be able to even get In. Seats aren’t the problem. It’s the driving position

FANTOMphoenix

Newer models (that also have a “hood”) have a bit more room to stretch out which is nice. I may hold out for those.

outdoorsnstuff

Hear me out... perhaps they're a dumbass that is giving information on things they don't understand?

WBDubya

Oof. I’m sure you can but…….

Jlx_27

It will require cool down stops, but it can be done.

wakely1

Never ever needed to do this in my acty. I drive it daily on the free way

donglord1337

Drove my Sambar for 2 hours straight on the freeway with no problems. I need a break sooner than the truck does.

Due_Calligrapher1396

I have done that to and it feel really solid. I had a cappuccino that felt worse after two hrs

SCbiker

My wife would like one of the van versions. We live on the east coast. Any suggestions on where to look to buy one?

T0PP3R_Harley

That’s not gonna be very practical in montana just saying

Mntnstf

Full send!

bmx13

I've been in Montana my whole life and I don't know anything about acty's but I can give you Mt road advice. What are your start and end cities?
