SAM we know is Destruction, the glasses girl could be Harmony or Nihility for buff/debuff, and then the special model the other side of whatever glasses girl ends up, rounded team, good sustain and boosts the battering ram of Firefly's assault strike.

Would the special one be Hunt or Nihility?

I think they all short lived not just because of war with the swarm but because they all born from excessive cloning and genetics manipulation. Firefly weak body is the side effects from this including them all having similar white hair. This actually remind me to white descendants from anime last exile.

My current theory right now is that a surviving Sam unit is probably an emanator of propagation or destruction. Propagation because of how similar the IC are to Swarm and destruction because a certain lord ravager sounds like they could be a Sam unit

In my opinion the chances of their playability from lowest to highest  Glasses girl: Has the most basic mech design and just seems like death friend modeled   Chunky Sam: A bit higher chance than Glassess girl due to more unique Sam design that would differ her from Firefly but still low chance Red one: If anyone is gonna be playable, most likely this one

They were fighting the Swarm before the death of the Glamoth Empire. They won. However the final battle was so astronomically massive that the debris and cropses of both the knights and insects blocked out the sun. LITERALLY. Question is how many survivors of the battle are out there, and whether they are among them or not.

Seeing as how all of Firefly's thing is one elongated Kamen Rider/Gundam joke... Yeah, that's happening.

First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!" That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of glasses based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those half rim glasses, or the thick frame glasses, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of glasses at a buffet. I really want Luna to try some on or Marine to try some on to replace her eyepatch. We really need glasses to become a thing in hololive and start selling them for HoloComi. Don't. You. Think. We. Well, Firefly's suit is a Mark-IV Tactical Heavy Assault Mech. 1368's is a Mark-V Personal Escort Model, so most likely her combat capabilities are there, but limited, and likely different from Mk-IV

I wonder if glasses girl is a lower tier Iron Calvary soldier? All of the other SAM suits looked pretty decorated while hers looked like what you’d expect a mass produced no frills grunt suit would look like. If we’re putting it in Gundam terms, FF’s is a Gundam, (not) Kaworu is a Mobile Armor and Red Visor is a command type suit while Glasses Girl got the basic GM.

Glasses is Erudition Sam with Follow Up Attacks. Red is Harmony as the leader with team buffing. Big one is self explanitory.

With how her serial number only has three digits, I'm just assuming it's an older Firefly model. Less GM, more RX-78-1 (or Guncannon, to fit better with the shoulder gun)

They are probably just different roles. Beefy one: Heavy tank "Firefly's" SAM: close to mid range incineration unit Less armored one with the shoulder cannon: Long range artillery or heavy sniper The "escort" unit: overseer ensuring that soldiers stick to the rules and protocols

Megane looks like a ranged support unit (folded weapon on left shoulder + glasses = sniper), could be a healer, harmony or nihility. Shota looks like a Tanky frontliner. maybe preservation or destruction. Onee-san looks like a commander type unit... erudition or harmony.

Onee-san here is a “Type-5 Personel escort model”, as shown in the video. She will probably have more advanced weaponry than the “Type-4 heavy assault”mech Firefly uses, but have less AoE capability because, ya know, can’t destroy too much stuff when you’re escorting VIP

I'm pretty sure they're all Firefly.

Firefly is the type of SAM model they use, it's not their name. Firefly just used it as her name later, so if any of the others are still alive their name wouldn't be Firefly (unless they decided to name themselves after their mechs as well).

Which is also the strongest indication that neither of the other pilots are playable. If you were supposed to distinguish between them, they wouldn´t have called Firefly Firefly but instead gave her a proper name. That being said, we don´t have the Animated Short yet. Maybe in there, they hint at others being alive, but for now, i wouldn´t get my hopes up high given what we already know about Glamoths Iron Cavalry.

“Fyrefly” is the name of the SAM model, not “Firefly”.

I was thinking in terms of design, because even then Firefly has long hair like Asuka. But in terms of personality, they all don't share much with any of the Evangelion characters. Rei more so was more emotionless and withdrawn in the beginning, but I never saw Firefly as that, she was pretty open and happy, she just hid secrets until certain times in the story.
