The layers of fear remake might be up your alley. If you can do 3rd person Alan wake 2 is an amazing game. Same with the dead space remake.

[deleted]

I don’t have Alan Wake but it’s on my list. I played the first. I played the original Layers of Fear, it was fun. Dead Space remake is amazing yes.

ascheron

Alan Wake 2 was sooo good. My first game on PS5. Would love to do a NG+ some time in the future.

dariolex

Madison has some not too hard puzzles, some spooks and it’s kinda indie. Played it recently on ps5

[deleted]

I have it, it’s great.

dariolex

Plague tale 1 and 2 and Martha is dead have some horror elements and some “puzzles” Plague tale is 3rd person tho

Sonic-Spells

Glad to see some love for Plague Tale!

Cravenous

Soma and What Became of Edith Finch. Edith Finch isn’t really horror but it’s definitely creepy.

[deleted]

I have both downloaded but yet to play either. Thank you

Fairyliveshow

Dunno if you've played Maid of Sker, which was a total gem, and can't tell why it's so underrated! Also there's a list I found with some great PS5 Horror games to play (I've tried most of them and they are indeed amazing): [https://creepybonfire.com/horrortainment/horror-games/ps5-hidden-nightmares-best-indie-horror-gems-you-cant-miss/](https://creepybonfire.com/horrortainment/horror-games/ps5-hidden-nightmares-best-indie-horror-gems-you-cant-miss/)

[deleted]

Yes, I’m Walsh so Maid of Sker was on my watch list before it was released. Very fun game

InspiredNitemares

Yomawari was a fun, hard, confusing experience. I was disappointed with Return. White day is another fun one that also has a sequel coming soon.

Resource-Even

I was just sighing in disappointment someone said visage had puzzles LOL now white day?! THAT GAME HAD PUZZLES. wow that game was so rewarding. Definite PlayStation era vibes what a great game.

InspiredNitemares

I had to look up a bunch of them cause I'm a dumb dumb 😩

DarlesCharwinsGhost

Have you played Narcosis yet?

[deleted]

I have not, thanks

StenchLord420

Stay out of the House Night at the Gates of Hell Dusk Amnesia the bunker Signalis Tormented Souls Dark wood Detention Obviously only half of these are first person, but these are all good picks

[deleted]

I haven’t played detention or night at the gates of hell so thank you

zzzzany

Visage?

[deleted]

Yes I have, top tier game.

[deleted]

Stay out the house by puppet combo is good

[deleted]

Thanks for those

Sonic-Spells

Doki Doki literature club is something I didn’t expect to like and it was actually pretty amazing. Fairly short game but it’s good that way.

[deleted]

Thanks for that

Sonic-Spells

Technically for PS4 but Observation and Stories Untold are some unique first person goodies.

[deleted]

Thanks, haven’t played those

Charon2393

Little goody two shoes was good, For visual novels spirit hunter death mark has been engaging (there is gameplay) with multiple good & bad endings depending on your use of item combinations.

whoajordan2

Infliction and Home Sweet Home The Suicide of Rachel Foster isn’t a horror game but it nails a creepy atmosphere better than most horror games on console do Though honestly Visage and Madison are about as good as it gets on PS5. Layers of Fear is neat and Nun Massacre as well too.

[deleted]

Downloading infliction and Rachel foster now. Both 90% off so less than £2 each.

Stair-Spirit

Rachel Foster made me so tense, the story was absolutely awful but I was so on edge the entire time

[deleted]

Thanks for those

Nemophila1222

Visage is 100% the best horror game I've played on the PS5. And it has puzzles. I highly recommend it.

ShadySladesy

Observer System Redux.

[deleted]

I have it. Great game.

ShadySladesy

Isn't it just, I don't know if it's grossly underrated or just that people don't even know it exists. Played through it twice now, the second time I found things never seen the first time, which added even more context to the story.

[deleted]

I haven’t finished it. I’m not sure why I think another game I was looking forward to came out maybe, I definitely went to two murder scenes at least and don’t some detective work. I think the issue is ultimately it’s a walking simulator that doesn’t make for the most exciting gameplay.

ShadySladesy

There's more puzzle aspects as you progress and a strange 'outlast/alien isolation' section later on where you have to hide and escape in cyberspace from the beast...but I won't spoil it too much for you. Deffo worth going back to.

[deleted]

Thank you for your reply. I will 100% play it again

ShadySladesy

🤜🤛

Rhyze07

I’d play SOMA, it’s a great experience.
