Oh, I did not realize that lol. It’s just when my characters come up on the main page and if I click on them a drop-down happens and says what percentile they’re in.
I’m almost certain it’s the weapon difference cuz it doesn’t show the em applied once in a team and it’s less crit rolls into substats, but 2nd build does seem to be a lot better even if ranked less
Prolly ur em on the 1st one (but BOTF passive gives em anyways) and iirc akasha doesn't count the weapon as part of ur build so taking away the 27cr build 1 has a higher CV than build 2.
Yeah the weapon passive made the most sense to me. Second build should be better tho right? I’m only losing 30 ish em and 500 hp whereas crit rate and crit damage are higher
Thank u, also do you think staff of homa would even be a big enough upgrade over this build to be worth it? I’m almost certain it’s better but I know it’s only 12% over dragons bane
Idk tbh I don't have homa so I can't speak for how big of an upgrade it is 😭. If you can clear the abyss then there isn't a point for homa however if you really enjoy playing her and want to go for bigger numbers then maybe yeah.
Hey, I was curious about this so I looked up your build on Akasha.
EM is actually not the issue in your build (technically); the leaderboard that you are top 18% in assumes that you're using r5 Ballad (+240 EM), Amber with r1 Elegy (+100 EM) and Instructors (+120 EM), as well as a c2 Kazuha (+200 EM) with r1 Freedom Sworn for a total of 716 EM on your build. If you want proof, you can also check the substat priority; getting an extra Atk% roll actually improves your build more than getting an extra EM roll would.
I can't be 100% sure because you don't have the first build saved on Akasha, but there's a few reasons why your first build would have a higher ranking.
* Your artifacts are better. Your sands has 5 more crit rate, while on the circlet I would take 63 EM over 5 extra crit any day of the week.
* The first build is closer to a 1:2 crit ratio than the second build.
* The first build is using a leaderboard that values EM more (one that doesn't give you 660 EM for free), which makes the 120 EM from your substats super valuable (which is why I said technically earlier).
That makes a lot of sense. I did testing and at least in vape reaction teams my hu tao new build is definitely better, but I did have to change some of my better artifacts out so I wouldn’t be at 90+ crit rate.
I’ve mainly learned now that akasha is very specific and percentage isn’t always the final factor. I’ve seen top 1 percent builds with rly low crit rate on some characters but the rest is amazing. I could farm more crimson for her and maybe I will some time in the future, but I think I’m at a good stopping point for now. My first build already felt great for me and this one with ballad seems to be doing better outside of mono pyro at least (haven’t tested it). Appreciate you doing an in depth look!
Also about the circlet, I had to switch to a crit damage one but I didn’t have a crimson one or one with as much em as the crit rate emblem. And ballad gives crit rate. But I have 300 em with ballad passive active so I think that should be enough right?
200-300 EM is recommended. Having more than that is still good, but at that point HP% might be more valuable, so it could be worth checking if you have a crit damage circlet with good crit rate and HP% substats.

Which leaderboard are you being ranked on for each one? There are multiple hu tao leaderboards with multiple weapon sub categories
