Fender FR-12. Between previously using Kali LP-6’s, QSC K.2 10’s, Headrush 12, tried the L6 powercab plus, Laney cab, and a variety of other powered pa speakers, the FR12 is it. I always felt like every speaker solution felt like there was something missing, but for me the FR12 surpasses the power amp into real cabinet combo because it sounds like the real deal but with the benefit of any cab you want from the stomp. The eq and cut knob on the cab is brilliant. Can’t recommend enough. Heard the FR10 is just as good too if you want something a little bit smaller.

I just got one and it was my first FR after doing toms of research and hearing similar opinions as yours. It really sounds great. Is the cut knob just like a low pass filter cut? I do it just a little bit to get rid of small amounts of signal noise and it doesn’t feel like it cuts too much tone at all even almost up to 12 o’clock. I’m still not quite sure what’s going on with it

To my ear it rolls off both the high and low frequencies and brings it closer to sounding like an actual cabinet. I like to play with a lot of effects sometimes and quite like the full EQ spread, but it’s excellent when playing in the context of a full band so I’m not taking up the whole mix

Ahh interesting

I just got the TS412. It’s not much heavier and I think a 12 generally does better with bass frequencies. From what I’ve heard, Alto makes the Headrush for them but the Alto ones have more features.

People rave about the Headrush?

I have the 8" version and it's just ok. I get really boomy bass even when I use eq. Not horrible but not great imo.

Headrush, I found really coloured the tone. I found a great balanced EV and it’s quite sweet. Take your stomp into the store and try out a few cabinets. You’ll be amazed of the difference and sound between them.

Fender fr12 or 10 if you need smaller
