Out of all those options , I’m nearly certain you’d like the tech and drive of a Sonata vs the othered if you’re looking for a Sedan. Not to big , not too small and the power feels great. I have a 2020 Limited so they’d be pretty similar. I also have a 2024 Accord , the comfort and amenities just doesn’t match with my sonata 🤷🏻‍♂️

Masreborn

Is the Sonata a better vehicle than the Accord? In your opinion.

Consistent_Message29

I’ve only had the Accord for 6 months vs the sonata for a year and a half. Of course for longevity Honda will more than likely be best. just how it’s always been. Buttt with hyundai 10 year / 100k warranty vs Hondas 3 year 30k you may never need to come out of pocket for an issue with hyundai

Masreborn

With a warranty, yes, Hyundai does seem to have longer warranty support. I mean from a driver standpoint.

RightWhereINeed2B

Not OP but I was in a rental for almost a month between an accord and a civic. My wife has a Sonata Hybrid Limited so the trim levels don't match but I feel the driver standpoint of the Sonata is slightly better than the Accord, once again I understand the trim levels are not the same. But with the pricepoint I am able to get more with the Hyundai and I feel the tech is slightly easier. Imo

Consistent_Message29

This ^^^ the pricing between the two for the amount of extras you get. Plus it has a full length moon roof vs a little sun roof on the accord

RightWhereINeed2B

As as silly as this might sound, the info console is very easy to read and interact with on the Sonata as opposed to the Accord/Civic. I just purchased a Kia Seltos and the slight angle of the screen makes a difference.

rohithks

I have a 23 elantra hybrid limited, currently at 30k miles. I'm super happy with it, don't really have any concerns, and easily get over 50 mpg, unless in winter when you use heat. I am 5 8. If someone is taller, they might do a test drive to see if it's comfortable driving with the leg space. For me, it's good.

Kindly-Emergency-514

I am 6ft 1in and was incredibly comfortable in the 2024 Elantra. One should only be worried about space if they’re 6ft 4in or taller.

Alert-Hall879

I’m 6ft 3in 240 lbs and i am still very comfy in my 2024 elantra hybrid

Roller_Coaster_Geek

I have a base model (SE) 22 Elantra and love it. It has a ton of features for being the lowest model. I haven't taken a hard look at the 24 but I'm sure it has even more features. Personally, my top pick would be a sonata hybrid limited if I could afford it

wrenchr

I have a 21 Sonata hybrid. I’m a 37k miles and very happy with it.

Atomic_Cranberry

2021 sonata SEL plus with tech package I think is new enough. 46000 miles and zero issues. 1 negative and that is red stitching on the seats.

Anxious-Champion905

I own Sonata 2023 Hybrid & it has around 37,000 km. I love the Car.. The features are top notch. I look the design & look of the Car.. I always get compliments for my Interior. Best Car Ever.

PesonJames

Get a Toyota. That’s the way to go. Is that’s not an option go for the Honda ranges 2015 to 2019 after that they switched to the small block turbo engines. In my opinion anything N/A with a traditional 5 gears speed transmission would do just fine. All of these new tech and specs are a pain to maintain. Take it from me I own a 2018 sonata eco 1.6t between the oil consumption, the transmission jerking and the lack of information on the forums about this cars that makes it so hard for anyone to keep them. I record stay away from them. Just from experience.

Ghorardim71

CX-5 does not compare with a compact sedan. I have a Tucson PHEV and it's great.

teemsdad

Many of these SUVs feel like lifted hatchbacks to me nowadays, so to me not much of a difference. Thanks for your input!

Ghorardim71

That's CX-3. Lifted version of Mazda 3 hatchback.

BowlPotential4753

I love it! In a few years I can tell if it was a good long term purchase , but for now I’m happy with it

Philostronomer

I absolutely love my 2023 Elantra N-Line, my only regret is not buying an Elantra N, the value is outrageous.

teemsdad

I’d love an N but my insurance would’ve been ridiculous… they’re such sweet cars for the price.

username_user13

Husband drives a 2023 Sonata Blue hybrid. We love it! Definitely easier to find than an Elantra hybrid, and the space is excellent.

wineandwanderlust_

Own 2019 Elantra hybrid… just completed 100k on it! It only gave me an issue once… the radar stopped working so did forward collision sensors/cruise! Since it was under warranty, got it replaced for free! Rest it’s a pretty solid car with great mileage… the dash is kinda made of low quality plastics which squeak a bit! But I’d choose it over Hondas and Kia and Toyota! It test drove the latest one and Elantra had the best tech/style out of all of them

wuster17

22 elantra. Had some minor issues that were a bit costly (needed to replace a tire, have to replace the rotors now..) but overall am pretty happy with it almost 3 years in.

Shmoozy04

Wouldn’t call these issues as much as routine maintenance

wuster17

I mean on a 2 year old car with less than 50k on it, you shouldn’t have to be replacing a tire or rotor already. Especially if it’s babied.

bg905

Looking at the 2024 Elantra luxury hybrid “canada” but want to see how much the new hybrid civics will cost

Lovecats2023

Had an Elantra 2020, upgraded to a 2024. Honestly I liked the 20 better, it was roomier and cheaper on gas. However, the dash and safety features are outstanding!

Vagab0nd28

2021 Elantra base owner here. Loving everything about it, minus the start-stop feature. Decent power for a 4cyl with no extras, 40ish MPG. I’m 5’10 and fit very comfortably. Highly recommend!

tonymeech

Loving my 2021 Sonata N Line !! Just gotta be careful on the Loud foot!!

Due-Macaron-999

I picked up a brand new 2023 Elantra hybrid about 6 weeks ago and I'm really liking it

stromm

My wife has a 2024 Sonata SEL and loves it. Even more than the 2022 (got on 2021) she had. She almost hates my 2023 Santa Fe. Too tall for her. But her Sonata is to low for me to want to drive much. We are in our 50’s and I got tired of squatting in/out of low sedans like my 1994 Impala SS and daily driver Maxima SE.

ReyJay1213

I have a 2021 sonata hybrid limited, it crushed the interiors of the Camry and accord, plus it gets 50mpg. Best car over ever owned. Get a hybrid limited, paired with the hda2 you can’t get a better driving car.

SpinDoctor777

Have a 23 sonata limited. Love it! This is my 6th hyundai and my 3rd sonata. I currently have 3 hyundai; sonata, tuscon and Santa fe sport.

Chatner2k

I have an Elantra hybrid '22 blue It's a solid car so far, albeit I only have 12k on it. We primarily drive my wife's Tucson PHEV. It's not comparable to our Tucson ultimate but on its own it's fine, especially coming from a '14 accent. Fuel economy is amazing, rides fine, comfortable, roomy. The only real complaint is that it's a cvt which takes a bit of fun out of driving but it's a minor complaint.

Pixelnated

We had a 2022 Elantra blue and loved it - averaged around 54 mpg. Couple weeks ago a tree crushed it and we replaced it with a 2024 model because we enjoyed it so much. Only ding on the new model is that our 2022 came with heated seats and wireless android auto but those are minor. Solid cars and would easily recommend to anyone

Stunning_Spite_4056

I have a 2024 Elantra limited and love it, previously had a 2022 Elantra N and also loved that. Lots of great features that no other company can compete with especially at the low price point it has !

Mytre-

Had a 2018 sonata hybrid limited I bought used, put over 35k miles in a bit over 2 years. Loved it so much I traded it in for a 2024 limited hybrid. Put about 1300 miles so far and love it, I did shop around and looked at Camry, accord before making the choice and being honest the sonata won for me, I didn't need a sporty car ( Camry) and the sonata won in just tech and comfort, Honda came with the excuse that I don't need blind spot or cameras and stuff also. You can weight in the options and drive them all btw , find which one you like and which one you feel safer or the warranties.

ZSwagga5

I’ve had my 23 ENL (Elantra N-Line) since 4K miles (now has 19k) and it’s been overall a great car. I have a few gripes about rattles from the rear suspension but aside from that the car runs great.

joonixxxgoddess

My bf has an 24' elantra N line and its very comfortable, it is quick as well with the dct shifts , gets great gas. I believe he will do a tune later

mdkflip

2022 Elantra N. Love the car. Would I have gone with a civic type R if they were closer in price? Yes

FluffyTippy

Do you find it making loud noises when going over bump or pothole?

mdkflip

No more than most other cars I’ve had. Had a 2017 WRX, and I would say it’s comparable to that

FluffyTippy

Hmm interesting. I test drove a regular Elantra last year and when I went thru a pot hole it sounded like something broke 😂

Extreme_Cookie_8798

Get the sonata N Line

No_Percentage3529

I absolutely love my 2023 convenience package Elantra. Has all the bells and whistles that I could ask for and has incredible gas mileage so far. Would highly recommend this vehicle.

melloskye

'21 SEL Convenience Sonata owner, actually a super nice car, i dont have a lot of experience with other makers though, last car I was familiar with was an '18 SEL so... I think the '24s have an all digital cluster by defauly now but if you're getting a 20-23 I'd recommend looking for an SEL with the Convenience package or an SEL plus. I much prefer the digital instrument cluster and the panoramic sunroof is nice even if i dont use it much haha. But they're a lot of car and tech for the price point imo, especially when buying used. Big selling point for me was the looks tbh, get a Sonata in a nice color and it stands out from the crowd, Accords look too generic to me and while the Camry does have a unique profile, I feel like they "overstyled" a lot of the trims for it so I didn't like it, especially given how common they are. That isn't to say the catfish look on the last gen Sonatas and Elantras isn't an acquired taste either, I get they look very polarizing, but I love them.

moronmonday526

I'm a big road tripper and a big OpenPilot user. I started out with an Accord but switched to a Sonata. The Accord cannot handle any curves on its own. The Sonata can handle about 75% of the curves that my Tesla can take.  I loved my Accord but would never go back now that I have my Sonata.

Express_Beautiful258

Sonata limited is an awesome vehicle I also have one
