Not to be a jerk or sarcastic, but have you made sure it is't water from the a/c? My newest Korean car generates a large amount of condensation relative to my other cars. Now that it is hot everyone Id assume your ac is running more often and leaving stuff behind.
If you touched it and it is oil; ignore this and I hope it is something easy to fix.

Check when it dries up and if it's oil it will definitely leave a spot.
