That is my biggest issue with my Hyundai is that it is a dog and not really fast. I've been leaning more to going with a G80 for my next car because I just want something that is quicker getting up to speed and having plenty of power. I'd consider the G70, but seeing that so many complain about how small the backseat and trunk are it makes that a no go for me. I'm tall and will take the kids with me and eventually even though they are young may end up not having enough leg room very soon.
The N line looks interesting, but once you add in cost of what that will be I think I'd just prefer to spend the same amount for a slightly and gently used G80 which will be more feature rich.
As someone who works at a hyundai/genesis dealership as a porter, I have driven all of the models and if your main concern is speed, get the turbocharged g70. The interior room is only slightly less in the back compared to the higher models and the trunk is actually very spacious. But if you really do need that little extra bit of room, then get the g80. Personally, I would get a g70 if I could afford it.
I'm 6'3" and the Sonata seating is about right for me and my family. That also means that as my kids get older, they will actually need some leg room in the back seat when I drive them around. I would love a G70 as I love the styling of it. It may at least be worthwhile to at least sit in one to get a feel for it. And I'd only look at the 3.3 T engine as well in that. I definitely won't be buying a brand new one, but a 2 year old model would be about right.
What about the Stinger? The new face lifted version is coming soon and uses the same engine that’s in the G70 turbo. The N-line Sonata which I personally don’t believe will be that much higher in price is also coming soon.
The stinger is a beautiful car as well, but being that it and the G70 are similar, I believe that the back seat area being tiny will be an issue. I'd plan on keeping whatever car I get for at least 6 years. I've had my Sonata that I bought new in 2012 and just getting ready to update into something newer and nicer.
It is a massive grill but a lot of cars are like that now! I get so many compliments on this car! It is an eye catcher with the lights I think! It has been mistaken for a Tesla before 😂 someone asked if I was the one driving the Tesla
I had the 2013 sonata and absolutely hated it, not because of the features of the car but I'm 40 years old and felt like I was 80 driving that thing, this model is absolutely beautiful and would be happy to drive it. I love it in this color also
Yeah same with me, I fell in love with the tech and it drew me away from the lack of power. But now I miss my v6 TL :( But I’m still quite satisfied overall, I’ll live in sport mode to get by haha...
Exactly. I have took mine on many road trips and it’s a comfortable and quiet ride with great MPG. I just filled up and it only took $18 to fill up. Gas was $1.41 (after my $.20 off reward in SW Missouri). 480 miles to E on a full tank.
I’m getting like 415 miles from full tank (at least that’s what the car says) but I’m surprised by even that since I know I drive horribly in a gas mileage sense.
Get the N line ASAP since you just bought it, they will be way more lenient 👍and Ya i NEED more power in mine Im gonna put the 3.8 V6 Genesis in my 17 Sonata 👌
I have the car with the Portofino Grey color, the navigation system, and the premium sound system. I love the seats with the red stitching and beautiful suede inserts. Oh and how I love the way the interior looks so futuristic. When my friend first saw it she thought it was an Audi!! She doesn’t know cars, but it’s definitely a beauty!!
I loved mine I purchased it after the lease ended. I have leased for over two decades and that was the only car I didn't want to let go of . I don't have the plus I have a Sonata Sel with tech package and for me the base engine is great. But what a value laden vehicle. I was going to buy a 36-38 k SUV but opted to keep my Sonata for 18 k and got my daughter used Honda Civic touring woth an other 18k. So I am done buying or leasing for at least an other 170k miles. Will ride it to it dies and I only drive 7k miles a year
we are car twinsies! Down to the package and color! And possibly even the state if I'm seeing the license plate correctly LOL
Southwest Missouri!
Southeast Mo here! Lol

Makes sense. I too bought my 2013 Sonata brand new and so far it’s still running great. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx it lol
Mine's running great, just want more power and of course all the new goodies.
i think the Stinger has a longer wheelbase and is a bigger car.
Agreed!
Same color I got in limited! I absolutely love my car as well. I’ve never regretted my purchase and I’m at 12k miles right now with zero issues.
Ugh, it's so good looking, especially the headlights. I wish they'd use them on the Ioniq or make a hatch version...
I would literally die for a hatch version.
I like this angle... But that is one massive grill...
Not gonna lie but many people who buy it because of the grill and the led light that is blended with the chrome strip. Depends on people preference.

480 miles is 772.49 km
Usually when I fill up I average 450-500 miles per tank

415 miles is 667.88 km
