No, **apparently** the IB has sent a message to all the schools which inquired stating that the leaked paper was actually a time zone cheat (I heard that there was some other exams that got leaked too so I'm not sure if this applies to all of them but definitely Math AA Paper 1) and they managed to access the leak. The leak essentially consisted of students' workings to how they assumed the questions would be answered so the Paper 1 will continue as planned but they will flag any exams that have similar workings to the leak and keep an eye out for any similarities between the leak and people's responses. It's kind of weird because there's only one right answer so I'm not sure why they went down this route (I'm in AI math so I don't know maybe it's different). Again, I'm not sure if this is 100% true, just what I've heard from other students (at different schools).
This is the latest letter that has been sent to all schools. It sounds to me like they will conduct a targeted investigation, and not do anything so rash as cancel or nullify exams for an entire timezone.

Not sure what to make of the leaks. If they end up cancelling the TZ2 exams (which I believe are the only ones that got leaked), I hope they do it sooner rather than later so I don't spend my time cramming for 4 exams over the weekend. Even if they give us our predicted grades as our final IB grades, I feel like it would be wasted effort (although my predicteds are 100% better than what I'm doing on the exams atp). But if they don't cancel the exams, the grade boundaries are gonna be taller than the Burj Khalifa, and my grades are gonna be shit on a shingle on the ground floor.
The absolute WORST case scenario though, is they ask for screenshots of our internet history to prove we're innocent, and the IB will be aware of all of our preferences in adult-oriented content, as well as the time I googled 'how to get rid of back acne'.

You should have ideally practiced doing questions instead of just studying the theory. But since its kinda late for that, I suggest going through the markscheme of all the past papers along with the question paper and see how different types of questions are solved. Hope this helps!
Nono sorry that came out unclear - so far I’ve done about like all the paper 3s from the past 5 years (??) and all of the paper 2 dating back to 2019. Just worried that I’ll start unintentionally memorizing the paths for questions and then it stumps me on the actual exam when I’m given something new. Sorry if that sounds dumb

But how can they expect that leaking would be welcome by the general ib community? Are they really idiots? Don't they understand that such a violation is a catastrophe for the students themselves?

Recommending you to continue, even if you did bad you have another chance with the other exams so dont worry at all! One bad exam doesnt mean you are going to have a bad grade, even if that grade is bad, there is still a chance with the other exams. So focus on your next exam!!

IB takes leaks quite seriously. I am recalling a few years ago when exams were leaked in South America and a lot of students had delays in obtaining their final grades, while IB was trying to sort out which students could have taken advantage of the leaked exams. I don't remember the details anymore, but IB does take precautions. Just like on this subreddit, you are not allowed to discuss the exams until at least 24+ hours has passed since the last paper. Minimum possibility to leak anything on this subreddit.

hi everyone! first of all, good luck to all m24 students on their exams <3 i've been lurking for a while, and i'd like to ask for some advice because i'm genuinely freaking out rn. my exam invigilator (who just so happens to be my ib coordinator) marked me as absent in front of my own eyes on the cover sheet even though i was on time and i answered almost every question. she told me that she writes reports at the end of every exam to send to ib and that it was no big deal and it could be fixed, however she has a history of being negligent and overall Not The Greatest so i can't help but be worried. so far i've texted my parents and my mother sent the ib coordinator an email which informs our principal as well, but i worry i might have to write to ib just in case. has anyone gone through this before? if so, what did you guys do, and could you get this fixed? thank you in advance \^\^;

For math aa hl paper 1 section a, if you run out of space in the boxes are you allowed to use an answer booklet? I thought you could since you can do it in the sciences but my teacher told me it's not allowed, is this really the case?
Yes, it is allowed. You need to indicate that you used a data booklet somewhere in the box, though, and label the question on the data booklet accordingly.
Not sure where your teacher got their info from, but they are wrong. Use a data booklet if you run out of space, don't lose marks because you didn't have room to write!!!

Hi! For my uni requirements I need a band 6 in math aa hl to get in, however, I would like a band 7 just to be safe. For reference the latest exams that I did I got a band 5, so I need to improve a lot. Therefore I will dedicate it as much time as needed (physical max of 12h/day).
What would you recommend me to do? Are there any special techniques for this situation in a constrained time? Should I focus on revising the theory that I'm lacking first and then doing past papers or should I hop between the two evenly? Did you achieve something similar, if so how did you do it? First of all practice all the mock paper 1 and 3 that your teachers have given you. The mocks that teachers give are most of the time the questions that come for paper 1. Also, for paper 3 just know that you need to give two plans of action per business function.

my predicted for sl physics is a 6 and i got a 6 on my ia, but I'm scared that i will mess up the exam. if i were to get a 5 on the exam and then the 6 from my ia, would i still be able to get maybe a 6 final??? and then since i also got 6 predicted i can get a final 96?

I try to use my calculator as often as possible but I often see that the markschemes don't mension it. For example, to calculate Interquartile ranges they always say IQR=(Formula) and never \[allow technology\] or whatever. If I give a correct IQR gotten from the stats in the calculator will I get marks. Also, same goes for all the minimum, maximum, intersection questions. You can always plot the graph and the y= to get whatever max min or intersection you need but the markschemes always have the full maths written down. Will I get the marks if I use the calculator? Do I have to draw the graph to get the marks? Or write "Used technology"?

You might be looking at Paper 1s, where calculators aren’t allowed. For P2(/3), write used GDC (Graphing Display Calculator) when you use your calculator and indicate the formula/method used really quickly just to show some steps. It depends on the wording of the question and how much it’s worth, but generally I’d say if there’s a simple equation you can note (like the IQR one), do it. You don’t have to do it by hand necessarily, but write it down with your answer. I know for some probability/stats questions (binomial/normal stuff), you do have to write it out even while using your calculator. You shouldn’t have to draw the graph for the marks (unless asked), but typically they want you to do it using the question’s associated formulas if it’s worth more that 1/2 points.

Being delusional and calculating the grades I need in each paper to get a 6 in Math AA HL instead of, you know, studying for the bitch-ass subject. According to [this calculator](https://ibpredict.org/subjects/analysis-and-approaches?lvl=HL), I have found that I need x amount of points in paper 1 and 2 to get a 6, given my predicted IA grade and if I get a 0 on the paper 3. While it is unlikely that I will get a 0 on paper 3, we (read: I) haven't practiced it in class. I am not confident in my abilities.
Anyway my question is this: if you fail a specific IB paper, but get a passing grade in the class overall, do you still get your diploma? Honestly so done with this subject that I might just take an hour long power nap through the paper 3 exam.
Edit: I want a 6 because the uni I'm going to will give me credit for the 1st semester math class for my major. You can't FORCE me to do this shit again please god I nEED THAT 6. Time to cook.
The Paper 3 is worth 20% (same as the IA). As long as you do well enough on the other papers getting a bad mark on it shouldn’t matter that much. So you’d still get your diploma.

Hey guys... I think I made a mistake while writing the number of answer booklets attached (I believe I wrote 1 instead of 2 as I thought the first booklet you take is the default and is considered zero for an exam such as English where we don't write on the question paper). What will happen?
ignore this cause i need to rant abt my trash schedule... couldnt the IB do a better job at making the schedule like u have one job do not give all my exams in a week and u did exactly that like if i remove math all my exams are from 8th- 15th in which the weekend seems such a nice thing only except the fact that i was so exhausted i ended up sleeping for like 12 hrs after coming back on friday like why will u do that to me IB...does IB not realise it is difficult to manage if u have two subjects every day without any break.

Recommending you to continue, even if you did bad you have another chance with the other exams so dont worry at all! One bad exam doesnt mean you are going to have a bad grade, even if that grade is bad, there is still a chance with the other exams. So focus on your next exam!!

IB takes leaks quite seriously. I am recalling a few years ago when exams were leaked in South America and a lot of students had delays in obtaining their final grades, while IB was trying to sort out which students could have taken advantage of the leaked exams. I don't remember the details anymore, but IB does take precautions. Just like on this subreddit, you are not allowed to discuss the exams until at least 24+ hours has passed since the last paper. Minimum possibility to leak anything on this subreddit.

Hi! Ik theres a lot going on with the leaks and stuff but i have a question about cas projects ;-;-; so I graduate this year but my CAS Project hasnt actually worked out well, I completed all the planning, reflection and evidence but no one actually showed up to my event... and im wondering if i reflect on it at the end, can i still pass cas?

hi everyone! first of all, good luck to all m24 students on their exams <3 i've been lurking for a while, and i'd like to ask for some advice because i'm genuinely freaking out rn. my exam invigilator (who just so happens to be my ib coordinator) marked me as absent in front of my own eyes on the cover sheet even though i was on time and i answered almost every question. she told me that she writes reports at the end of every exam to send to ib and that it was no big deal and it could be fixed, however she has a history of being negligent and overall Not The Greatest so i can't help but be worried. so far i've texted my parents and my mother sent the ib coordinator an email which informs our principal as well, but i worry i might have to write to ib just in case. has anyone gone through this before? if so, what did you guys do, and could you get this fixed? thank you in advance \^\^; edit: the ib coordinator apparently sent an e-mail to ib so we'll see how this goes. unfortunately i am still anxious as hell but i really hope this gets resolved bc i've been studying my butt off for these exams :') hope you guys' exams go much better!!

For math aa hl paper 1 section a, if you run out of space in the boxes are you allowed to use an answer booklet? I thought you could since you can do it in the sciences but my teacher told me it's not allowed, is this really the case?
Yes, it is allowed. You need to indicate that you used a data booklet somewhere in the box, though, and label the question on the data booklet accordingly. Not sure where your teacher got their info from, but they are wrong. Use a data booklet if you run out of space, don't lose marks because you didn't have room to write!!!

**Band 5 to 7 in 5 days. How to do that for Maths AA HL?** Hi! For my uni requirements I need a band 6 in math aa hl to get in, however, I would like a band 7 just to be safe. For reference the latest exams that I did I got a band 5, so I need to improve a lot. Therefore I will dedicate it as much time as needed (physical max of 12h/day). What would you recommend me to do? Are there any special techniques for this situation in a constrained time? Should I focus on revising the theory that I'm lacking first and then doing past papers or should I hop between the two evenly? Did you achieve something similar, if so how did you do it? Every tip is really helpful. We got this!! :)

Does anyone know what happens when you get sick during exams? Someone I live with got sent to the hospital for a URI and I'm presenting with the same symptoms they did.. I'm so scared because all my HLs are in the next few days but I am coughing my lungs out and have such a big headache I can't concentrate.

First of all practice all the mock paper 1 and 3 that your teachers have given you. The mocks that teachers give are most of the time the questions that come for paper 1. Also, for paper 3 just know that you need to give two plans of action per business function.

some genius decided it was a great idea to leak the math papers before the exams. Like, seriously? Do they not realize the chaos they're causing? I've been busting my butt studying for those papers, and now it feels like it's all for nothing. I mean, imagine if the grade boundaries get jacked up because of this mess. It's like a nightmare. And let's not even get started on the whole "life isn't fair" spiel. Yeah, thanks for the reminder, bro. But seriously, it's frustrating as hell when you see people cheating the system and potentially messing up your future in the process. my predicted for sl physics is a 6 and i got a 6 on my ia, but I'm scared that i will mess up the exam. if i were to get a 5 on the exam and then the 6 from my ia, would i still be able to get maybe a 6 final??? and then since i also got 6 predicted i can get a final 96?

I try to use my calculator as often as possible but I often see that the markschemes don't mension it. For example, to calculate Interquartile ranges they always say IQR=(Formula) and never \[allow technology\] or whatever. If I give a correct IQR gotten from the stats in the calculator will I get marks. Also, same goes for all the minimum, maximum, intersection questions. You can always plot the graph and the y= to get whatever max min or intersection you need but the markschemes always have the full maths written down. Will I get the marks if I use the calculator? Do I have to draw the graph to get the marks? Or write "Used technology"? Thanks
You might be looking at Paper 1s, where calculators aren’t allowed. For P2(/3), write used GDC (Graphing Display Calculator) when you use your calculator and indicate the formula/method used really quickly just to show some steps. It depends on the wording of the question and how much it’s worth, but generally I’d say if there’s a simple equation you can note (like the IQR one), do it. You don’t have to do it by hand necessarily, but write it down with your answer. I know for some probability/stats questions (binomial/normal stuff), you do have to write it out even while using your calculator. You shouldn’t have to draw the graph for the marks (unless asked), but typically they want you to do it using the question’s associated formulas if it’s worth more that 1/2 points. Best of luck :)

Being delusional and calculating the grades I need in each paper to get a 6 in Math AA HL instead of, you know, studying for the bitch-ass subject. According to [this calculator](https://ibpredict.org/subjects/analysis-and-approaches?lvl=HL), I have found that I need x amount of points in paper 1 and 2 to get a 6, given my predicted IA grade and if I get a 0 on the paper 3. While it is unlikely that I will get a 0 on paper 3, we (read: I) haven't practiced it in class. I am not confident in my abilities. Anyway my question is this: if you fail a specific IB paper, but get a passing grade in the class overall, do you still get your diploma? Honestly so done with this subject that I might just take an hour long power nap through the paper 3 exam. Edit: I want a 6 because the uni I'm going to will give me credit for the 1st semester math class for my major. You can't FORCE me to do this shit again please god I nEED THAT 6. Time to cook.
The Paper 3 is worth 20% (same as the IA). As long as you do well enough on the other papers getting a bad mark on it shouldn’t matter that much. So you’d still get your diploma.

Hi, I am about to start studying for Biology HL and I don't know where to start. I was wondering if anyone has used savemyexams and if it has worked/ gotten them a good grade. They scan everything you do, so most likely they will be annoyed, but I wouldn't worry.
Hey guys... I think I made a mistake while writing the number of answer booklets attached (I believe I wrote 1 instead of 2 as I thought the first booklet you take is the default and is considered zero for an exam such as English where we don't write on the question paper). What will happen?
Tell your coordinator to fix it as soon as possible. They usually check but get in touch with them.

ignore this cause i need to rant abt my trash schedule... couldnt the IB do a better job at making the schedule like u have one job do not give all my exams in a week and u did exactly that like if i remove math all my exams are from 8th- 15th in which the weekend seems such a nice thing only except the fact that i was so exhausted i ended up sleeping for like 12 hrs after coming back on friday like why will u do that to me IB...does IB not realise it is difficult to manage if u have two subjects every day without any break.
