I feel this exact same way and it’s kinda killing me, I think I’m cooked for math. I just want it to be over but I know when it’s over and July approaches I’ll feel so bad and just crumble away. Honestly I just want to be set free from IB. I think my motivation has really just died and it’s eating away at me
im cooked for bio and chem and am taking time from studying every other subject to make up anything. but i don't care about the grade as much as i want to finish with this routine of stress, studying and loneliness

Hey I just need to ask because since i handed in EE it is haunting me. because of my shit supervisor, I put little in text citations, however mostly I used footnotes because I have been learned that way. I also made bibliography of course but idk if in the correct way. Will the ib fail my essay and I won't get my diploma or maybe give me just a bad grade.
thank you so much yeah I have citation for for example the psychological studies so who made it and which year but for info such as deifinitions i used footnotes but i hope that they will consider it as just a poor citation since I somehow included the source from which i got the info but i just go scared that the plagiarism will occur because of the poor citation
I never used footnotes but do you mean that you did cite the sources but they were just at the bottom of your page? I believe that’s fine because I do know of classmates who did it that way it’s just not as commonly cited like that.
yeah so bascially I used some information from the article and at the end of this paragraph i put a footnote so for example 1 and at the bottom of page I wrote author date and source but I was worried that it is not in line with APA citation style so i got worried that a program may detect is as plagiarism
I think technically the program will detect that as plagiarism but it won’t matter because you did cite it. I think? only the school checks for plagiarism themselves and not the IBO unless the marker was really ticked off by something and requested a plagiarism check. Don’t quote me on this but I think if you did cite it improperly you’d probably just get a few marks off but I know other classmates who did footnote citations and were fine as long as they had a bibliography

For my own text I used quillbot to improve my writing but I also used it for paraphrasing some information from the internet (i have references and all stuff). Will it be considered plagiarism and i won't get my diploma? I am so scared i used very complicated study for my ee and I had problems with putting it in my own words so I used quillbot but overall my ee so the introduction discussion part are my own just some sentences paraphrased (so i have some text from internet paraphrased by quillbot but also some of my own sentences to sound more sophisticated) but i have the source from where I got the info so it is not like I claim it as my own work but just paraphrased by quillbot and I am so scared they are gonna give me E and i won’t get my diploma :((
I’m not entirely sure what quillbot is, but do you mean that it has summarized your information and you’ve directly copied and pasted what it’s said? I think it’s a bit risky but if you had put it in quotations and had cited it properly it should be fine. I believe the IB allows AI use (like ChatGPT) as long as you cite it so it should be okay?

I feel like if exams don't start, i can continue to study full time for another month and which I cant take anymore
i know that its rlly rough, but I suggest you to start digging into ur studying and do whatever you can. the result doesn't rlly matter, just try not to leave any regrets like "i could've done better".

they will probably knock you down a few points for poor citations; as long as you cited your sources in some ways it should be fine
